    Convenient access to smaller items.

This tiny bag features a jumbo-sized zippered opening for easy access to the bag's contents. Polyester ripstop fabric withstands regular use and abuse when you're road tripping to your favorite destination, and the TPU laminate and DWR finish repel outside moisture, ensuring the bag's contents remain safe and dry. As a convenient bonus, there's an external daisy chain for lashing this tiny bag to the outside of your pack or duffel bag.

    More Cubes, please

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I wish they made more sizes in these Black Hole cubes, so I would have an excuse to buy more. Love these little things. They will take your travel organization to a professional level.

    Great gift

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Gave this as a gift to my stepdad. He really liked it and I got it to match his larger black hole duffel bag that he has. I like that it is somewhat masculine for toiletry bag. Also it it made with durable material that will hold up over a long time and during camping as well. It's also water repellent so it is easy to wash off if it gets dirty. A great gift for the upcoming holidays for a person who has it all!

    Great for organizing

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've used this since they came out primarily to keep my first aid and emergency supplies together in one place. This definitely does the job and holds a surprising amount of stuff. Sure it weighs more than other similar pouches may, but the black hole material has shown me time and time again that it is some pretty durable and bomber fabric. It is water resistant which helps in the winter time with snow sometimes getting in. It is easy to move it from pack to pack, or just to throw under a car seat for those car camping trips because it keeps everything together in one place.

    In the small I keep:

Brooks -Range Ultralight Mini Guide Tarp
Full comprehensive first aid kit for 3
A couple packs of shot blocks
    Trauma Shears
    Various types of tape
    Emergency blankets

There is still room to spare as well.

    Really versatile

I bought this to use as a dopp kit. However, I find that I reach for this bag for a million different purposes. It's bigger than it looks and I love how easy it is to use. The large grab handle works well, even with mittens on. It opens wide, and I can find anything in it quickly. And the lash points are great to clip it to the outside of a backpack or anything else.
I recently used this on a trip in my carry on bag. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it held my essential purse belongings, my clear bag of TSA approved toiletries, ear buds, phone cables, etc easily. It was so useful, in fact, that I found I was carrying it around the airport like a handbag, easily accessing anything I needed before boarding the plane. I actually wish that Patagonia would make this bag with a removable shoulder strap because it's really a prefect size for a small handbag.
Overall, this bag is great for a multitude of things. And once you have one, you'll wish you had more.

    Food Bag

I think this is the perfect size for a day's worth of snacks in any skiing or backpacking pack. Organization and weight are crucial when trying to move quickly, and while this isn't as light as a dry bag, it's a bit easier to access the contents via a zipper.

My wife uses this for a travel makeup bag, as well. It's not super big, keep that in mind, but it'll easily hold a sandwich, some bars, nut butter and M&Ms or gummy bears.

The medium is probably better suited for clothing items like underwear, socks, etc. And the large will hold a men's size 10 shoes, awesome for organizing a duffel.

      Keeping it real....

This is a photo of my dirty car floor. I've had this black hole cube for the past year, and I keep it full of first aid supplies shoved under the front seat. We pull it out and stuff it in our packs, my kids raid it for bandaids and leave it on the floor where it gets stepped on and kicked around the falls out of the get the idea. It gets pretty beat up...yet besides being dirty, shows no wear and tear. I reviewed these cubes last year because I was so impressed with their durability, but just wanted to update that one year later we continue to kick them around and beat them up, and they still impress us with how tough they are.

      Keeping it real....

Great Things Come In Small Packages.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Sort of like the Black Hole Small Cube. This durable little pouch helps keep me organized when otherwise I'd be one heck of a hot mess. The material itself is easy to wipe down, should my shampoo or sunscreen explode, while the generously-sized zipper easily accommodates even the largest of small necessity items (like my wallet clutch! woo, nice surprise there if you're constantly shifting between ski bag, work backpack, play backpack, and purses like I am). It's effectively the size of a dopp kit, but better material and less clunky / looks less like my husband's shaving kit, which is a nominal issue but who really wants to walk around feeling like the Bearded Lady when TSA starts rummaging through your overhead bag.

That being said, I'm the kind of gal who has a million lip balms, bobby pins, and random knick-knacks floating around in my backpack, duffle, or purse at any moment or any time, which has led to some interesting explosions within the bag. And while all those zippered pockets and whatever have come in handy, they really don't do me any good when my bag goes flying and the contents spill everywhere. So, tossing all that errant junk into the Black Hole Cube, and then shoving it into my pack / purse / duffle is definitely a breath of fresh air. Long gone are the days where I have to worry about a small container of sunscreen exploding all over my laptop or the often-dreaded "I-Own-One-Lipstick-And-Now-My-Entire-Purse-Is-Covered-In-Its-Remnants." However, even if that did happen and either item exploded all over my Cube, I wouldn't be worried whatsoever since the material is easy to wipe down.

At any rate, regardless of whether you're a traveler, a knick-knack-purse-hoarder, or simply looking to streamline your life, I highly recommend the Small Cube as it's versatile, durable, and designed to make your life easier. I mean, after all, I'm really stoked I don't have to worry about cleaning lip balm out from the cervices of my backpack anymore!

      Great for organization!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These cubes are great! I use the small one for carrying my first aid gear or as a toiletries case. Perfect to stash in any bag without it taking up too much room! I'll probably get a million more of these. I already have one in each size. They really are awesome!

I didn't realize how much I needed this!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm not what you'd call an "organized person" all. I'm 33 years old and still throw all my clothes in a duffle for traveling....I don't even own a suitcase. I start out a trip with everything in it's own general area of the bag, but by two days in nothing's in it's place, and I can never find what I'm looking for without emptying the entire duffle.

Enter Patagonia Black Hole Cubes. I didn't realize how much I was missing these in my life until I started using them this summer. They are super multifunctional and I find myself using them for everything.

I have loved the large size for keeping small clothing (like my socks, undies, and bras) together--I can pack them all in here (it's deceivingly large) and then throw the cube in my Black Hole Duffle and feel like I am actually an organized adult!

The medium has been great for a toiletry bag--sunscreen, deodorant, hairbrush, toothpaste, facewash--I can put everything I need for a few weeks in here. I love that there are two zip pockets--I can put some necklaces/bracelets/watches in and not worry about them falling out.

The small has been a great little bag to put some basic first aid supplies in. I keep it loaded and throw it in the car or the climbing bag.

They are also the perfect size for loading up with snacks and putting in a backpack or dry bag so your trail mix and granola bars don't end up scattered and lost inside your pack.

These are made to last--very durable, good zippers, and material that will easily wipe clean.

      Pretty basic

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got a small and use as my toiletry bag. It holds everything a guy would need in a toiletry bag+. Burly, so you could use it for other things as well. The side mesh pocket is nice for sticking your toothbrush. Over all nice bag, nothing too special though.

      Versatile and Super Handy

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These bags are awesome, find a million different ways/reasons to use them.

I generally use the small one for a personal toiletry bag. Also have used it as a small medical kit.

The medium for snacks, and electronics such as camera and cell phone.

The picture for the large doesnt do it justice. I was able to fit 12 quick draws, and PAS under one mesh side. Harness and chalk bag in the other mesh side, then close it up with my shoes inside. It easily lashes to the outside of my rope bag making storing and travelling with my climbing gear incredibly easy.

My favorite part about having separate sturdy bags like this is you can keep them packed, then just grab and go. The nylon is durable and can repel some light snow or moisture.

Let me know if you have any questions!
