Bivy Down Hooded Jacket

Your kid's vocabulary may impress his English teacher, but cold will be one concept that he's not too familiar with when he dons the Patagonia Boys' Bivy Down Hooded Jacket. It’s soooo cute!

We just got this in the mail & it’s so cute. I love the blue color. As soon as my son put it on, I knew I made a good decision in buying it. My 8 year old is on the tiny size so I’m glad that he can still fit in a small. This jacket will be the perfect outdoor jacket when the weather gets “cold” in California.

I really liked photos on a Japan fashion site of this jacket, and decided to give it a try. I bought it from steepcheap site. The one I got turned out to be a big disappointment. A very small amount of down feather cornered inside the bottom two quiltings on the back. It gives me an immediate impression that what I got is a defective product. The jacket itself looks ok on person but everything else feels cheap. The jacket is even sort of damp to touch. The whole experience is so weird for I’ve owned several Patagonia adults’ jackets, none of those have any issues like this one does. I know kid’s cloths are supposed to be different. But I didn’t expect the difference means much lower quality/very poor quality control. I filed return right away. I will still buy Patagonia, but probably no more kid’s cloths.

That may be your issue...buying manufacture defects or seconds from the bargain sites. In other words; many are products that didn't make the cut to be sold with regular inventory so they make their way to the discount outlets. Often times it may be small stuff like the dye lot being off, inner tag sewn incorrectly, couple bad stitches, etc. Some have bigger issues that were missed by the discounter and should never have been sold Pure speculation, but this is the merchandise that many outlet or discounters carry

It is too little duckdown on the back.

I like the other one. But there is too little duckdown on the back. It's too light a jacket. I thought it was because it was folded and I couldn't touch it. I have never regretted buying Patagonia, but this time I am disappointed.

Bought this for my 10 year old; he is very fussy but this jacket hit all the sweet spots - warm, soft (not stiff) material, not too overwhelming with too much fabric or fill, can zip all the way with or without hood, has zippered pockets lined in warm fleece, and an awesome large inner “cargo net” pocket for carrying a hat or kindle or such. He has sensory needs but this coat didn’t bother him at all. I love the long profile as some coats ride up on him in the back since he has a long torso. It looks very stylish and cute and amis washable!

Nephew loves it

Fit:
True to size

Got this for my nephew had been complaining that his winter coats were too stiff. He loves this one. It fits him great, is really warm, he can move around in it a lot better, and he loves the soft-hand feel.

Cute jacket

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
Fit:
True to size

This is such a cute jacket for my son. He loved how light weight it feels, and the zipper/snap are quality and will be easy for him to do alone. The sleeves seem a bit long on him, but everything else seems great. I do worry a bit about the water proof ability, so I might not let him snowboard in this jacket. But it will be great for school/playing outside.

My 5 year old son loves this coat. It's lightweight and doesn't restrict his movement at all. I love this coat because it's great quality, and super cute!
