Quality is not what it used to be

I didn't purchase this beanie through BC, but I've owned Patagonia beanies in this same product line. For the same price, you used to get one that was much thicker with fleece lining the inside (which actually kept your head warm). After losing my other beanies, I tried these on at a local climbing shop in JTNP in hopes of finding a replacement. Not only did they do away with the fleece lining, but they're much thinner than the previous. No way I would rely on this beanie for anything other than a fashion statement in town.

My dad was beyond stoked to get this for Christmas! He is a Cali boy at hear, born and raised there even though he hasn't lived there in years. So he loves these reminders. He loves pairing this with his Cali flag shorts when he runs. He's that old man that you see passing you on all your runs dressed in crazy colors haha His only complaint is that it is a little tight on his ears and he has a fairly small head. He's currently working on stretching it out.

Great beanie! Love the California logo! Nice material but runs slightly small due to my big head. Other than that it's great! I mainly got this for my trip to California in April.

I bought this hat for $25 and probably wouldn't pay $40 for it (not because of quality, I just dont want to pay $40 for a beanie). However, I love this hat and I am glad to have it. It does run a wee bit small and I have a medium sized head. If you have a watermelon or pumpkin for head it may not cover your ears well. Overall, this hat is comfortable and very well built. The quality is definitely there. Great for everyday Montana winter weather. Great buy!

It is warm and looks decent. That's all that's good about it. It's barely large enough to cover your head and part of your ears. It is not quick drying. So if you sweat or it rains a bit, it'll take forever to dry. Therefore, I can't recommend this beanie if you're doing any highly-energy activity.

I loved this beanie since the first time I pulled it on! The material (merino and nylon blend) is soft and comfortable, yet warm and durable. I wore this beanie all winter and it still looks brand new! It fits snugly and is thin enough to fit under another hat/hood. I imagine the fit may be too small for some, but for me it's perfect. It covers the tops of my ears, and does not have extra material in the back like some beanies do. From around town to the tops of icy mountains, this beanie has never let me down! The material is great, it stays very warm even when damp from sweat. If you want a warm and snug beanie that is great both in style AND function, this is the one for you.

But unfortunately it doesn't fit my head... :( It's a little tight, and judging from the quality of the fabric, it won't stretch out too much. I really love the Wyoming Pride color, but it's simply too small to be comfortable.

Have had the same one for about 5 years, wear it daily during the winter and keep it handy for cool spring and fall days. Dog walking in the early AM to skinning up for fresh lines, this hat has you covered. Slim fit keeps the bulk down, very warm, breathable, packs away nicely in a pack or pocket when things heat up. Hard not to love.
