Great adventure short
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs large
- Size Bought: medium
- Height: 5'10"
- Weight: 160lbs
My husband wears these all the time and for backpacking as well. He says the material and style is perfect, but he wishes they could be a hair shorter. While is says 5 in inseam, they're really a bit longer and baggier overall. He loves them.
Great Short, Waiting for Summer
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: XL

I got these shorts well before summer to get a head start on my quiver of kayaking/chilling clothing. I have only used these in a hot tub so far and they are super comfy. I can tell they will be great for summertime when I am kayaking or swimming. More updates to come.
I have a 38in waist and the XL fit me well.
Great for Kayaking

- Size Bought: Medium
- Height: 6'0"

The hubs loves these - light, breathable and gets a tan on his legs. I don't know who loves them more - me or him!
Amazing pair of shorts!
Patagonia bluesign approved fabric
My waist varies between 33 and 34. Most of my clothes are 34 though. Should I go with a Medium or a Large? I am 5'10" 185
Taylor, I think either would fit you, medium would be a little more snug and large would provide a baggier fit.
What is the difference between M5 and M7 in the sizes? On Patagonia.com there is only XS, S, M, etc
That refers to the inseam length, patagonia.com seperates the 5" and 7" models.
These shorts are too tight! These don't quite fit the way that Baggies used to fit. These are now more trim in appearance but don't allow the freedom of movement that the older ones did...
Can anyone recommend a pair of shorts of similar quality and material, just made a bit more functional than these are? These will work fine as a swimsuit but not quite as the do everything shorts that Baggies used to be.
What is the inseam length of the Patagonia baggies shorts? In inches, please. It now simply says " above the knee" which might be very different for tall & short customers. Thanks.
There is a choice within this short of 5 or 7 inch inseams. If you click to select size you will see the options there.
