    Shorts vs Pants

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: small
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 140lbs

Having first starting with the baggies shorts I figured the pants would be fairly similar. I thought the pockets were fairly shallow compared to the shorts but overall I'm happy with my purchase.

    Not bad, not great

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 210lbs

Lightweight material, good in hot weather, dries fast

Fit is not great. Just awkwardly shaped. As another review stated, definitely induces plumber's crack.

Worst thing: pockets. These are those types of pants where your wallet, phone, especially coins or small items are going to fall out of your pocket every time you sit down. Very, very bad pocket design. I was unable to return these since I was out of the country with them for a month and beyond return period, but essentially these will go on the shelf and not be worn again unless everything else is in the laundry.

    Comfortable, plumber's crack inducing.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 6'
    • Weight: 200lbs

These pants are extremely comfortable. When you bend over however, the rear seems a bit low.

    Done with The Sun

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

My husband claims that after years of cooking his flesh he is done with the sun. In addition to a pretty dorky hat he does his lake swimming and river running in a pair of these. They seem to dry off pretty quick and the ankle gaskets make long pant swimming possible. Take that skin cancer!

    Comfortable but something missing

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 165lbs

I also ordered the baggie shorts and absolutely fell in love with them. These pants, while as described and completely did the trick, just felt like they were lacking. I wore them over a couple days of long hiking through grass full of ticks and snakes. The weather was hot and although forced to wear long pants I did not feel overheated in these.

    Would like more pocket space.

Really, my husband has never been nude since owning his first pair of camo baggies, I'll spare you the details. I was not sure when I brought these bad boys home, but for him, it was love at first site and I become chop liver. The baggies pants are made of durable nylon with a DWR, which makes them a really great lightweight shell pant for spring/winter hiking or to pull on post skiing or mountain biking. The camo print makes these his party pants, so he really has no reason to where anything else.

A Pant That Can Do Both

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: M/Reg
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 155lbs

This pant really represents the best of both worlds. They are comfy, lightweight, and stylish. They're great for lounging around or just going out and about. Perfect for summer wear if you're a flip flop or Chaco person with the elastic cuffs. The pant is a thin material and is really breathable but can be worn in slightly colder environments as well. The only downsize which is minor would be the shallow pockets on the hips.

    Great pants for lounging

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Theses are another outstanding Patagonia product with a comfortable fit, light-weight and button up rear pocket. I am 5ft 11 and about 160lbs and mediums fit well minus the rear of the pants.
Only negative as mentioned in previous reviews, is not enough material on the rear exposing your plumbers crack each time you bend over. I am surprised that Patagonia missed such a glaring defect, but I guess thats why they are on sale.....

    His n hers

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I got these in pants for me and my boyfriend (don't worry we don't wear them on the same days) and we both love them! They are super comfy to lounge around the house in, stylish enough to wear around town and durable/technical enough to wear fishing or hiking.

They do run small as I am 5'1, 120 lbs and I got the men's size small and they fit pretty well, a tiny bit long but since they're a jogger style the elastic at the bottom keeps them from dragging. My boyfriend is 5'11 , 150 lbs with skinny legs and the medium fits perfectly.

    Quick dry
    Keeps you cool

Loud (think George Costanza swooshy suit)
They don't make them in more sweet colors like the camo/hickory print
Things fall out of the front pockets super easy

If you're looking for a slimmer pant for lounging, traveling, hiking, or fishing that isn't your traditional baggy convertible pant, I would highly recommend the Patagonia baggies pant.

    Good gear for guiding

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

These pants are supper comfy and breathable I won't wear anything else while fishing/guiding from a drift boat.
They are not to baggy and the elastic cuff at the bottom are great for when your walking around in flip flops and in and out of the water. They have proven to be durable enough for one guide season.

    Awesome Pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 175lbs

These pants are super lightweight and I've found them to fit really well. I'm 5'10, 175lbs and I typically wear a 33, and the large fits perfect. They're exceptionally comfortable, and you definitely can't go wrong with camo these days either!

    Wish they fit better!

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 290lbs

I purchased the mediums and I was told they measure: 32 x 32.

I'm 6'2" and I had to return these pants because they didn't fit well on me. First of all, the pants are super light weight and are of thin material. The pants seemed shorter than a 32in length, but that might be because of the elastic. Also, they are a slim fit.

Super comfort but has a slight fit issue

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 165lbs

These pants have made the long drive from Seattle to Nelson to Jackson and back to Utah. They offer great comfort and breathability for long drives in the car and airplane rides. They are also great lounge pants but do have one flaw. The vertical fit in the waist section is too short which causes the pants to show some plumbers crack should you bend over. A slight update to the vertical fit length in the waist would give these pants a five star rating.

    love em

These pants are great - part sweat pant, part wind pant, part throwback style - all awesome. They're super comfortable and and make for a great casual pant. I've also ridden my bike and nordic skied in them a bit this winter with a lightweight baselayer underneath.
Can't go wrong with the camo, and then you've got navy or ash tan for more formal occasions.

      Comfortable when stationary

These are great pants for lazy days. I am a diehard Patagonia fan, but unfortunately didn't find the fit to be great. 5'11 with short legs and the medium was the right length. Find them to be slightly boxy and tight when I try to stretch my legs or bend over. Great for casual campfires and lounging around.
