    Pleasantly Suprised

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I was hesitant to buy gloves for my 10 month old daughter, but her hands were still a little cold, even when in the Patagonia Down Bunting, so I gave these a try. It can be a little challenging to put them on with the typical baby squirming, but they go on easier than I had expected. I don't worry about whether her thumb is in the thumb slot or not. The velcro is able to cinch the gloves on pretty well. Once they're on it's pretty hard for her to pull them off. We've been out hiking with her several times with these under her nano puff bunting and her hands stay toasty warm. My daughter is 10 months old, and in the 50% for height and weight. The gloves fit, but there isn't much room to grow in the actual wrist. Depending on how thin your baby's wrists are you may want to size up just a tad. I bought the 12 month gloves.Overall I would definitely recommend these!

    Warm but slightly silly

When baby hands are so small it's hard for the thumb to find its way into the thumb-hole. From age 1 and under I'd recommend a mitt that doesn't even have an apposing thumb. It goes on easier, is warmer and face it, with phalanges that small they aren't exactly navigating a repair on the outside of the International Space Station anyway.
