    Very disappointing.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Bought two of these jackets for my children 15 days ago and my son’s already has two rips in different places on his jacket. The quality is not there. I am hoping backcountry / Patagonia will have a solution to this issue and not blame each other and me be out $100

    Very disappointing.

    Warm & Toasty

Patagonia makes solid products for adults all the way to the little ones. They are warm without being super bulky and they are built to last. We gifted this to our niece who lives in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and we know she'll be able to play outside in those temps and stay warm. Great colors - nice to see something other than pink or purple for girls! Runs a bit big.

I bought two of these for my niece and nephew who are twins, and they've totally put them to good use. They're 2 and as everyone knows 2 year olds aren't easy on cloths, and they still look new. They're super light weight and warm so versatile for all kid uses.

From infant to grandparent you'll wear one of these through every stage of life. I got the the down sweater for my niece, and it's her third since she's growing like a beanstalk. It's high-loft to low-weight ratio allows her to wear it all day without complaining of any bulk. It's far more durable than others we've seen from Mountain Hardware, plus Patagonia will make repairs for free which is crucial for kids clothes, especially ones that will be passed down. For the kids definitely go with the hooded version since it's once less thing to pack and keep them extra toasty when the wind/snow is blowing. Zippered pockets are also nice for treats and hand warmers while on the go.

    Cute and Durable!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

I bought this for my toddler niece and it is the perfect winter coat for her! It's really soft and cozy and she plays in it all the time. So far it seems really durable! I got her a size up on purpose so it would fit her for a couple of years. I would not be surprised if she is also able to hand it down to her little sister! Great quality!

    Perfect Day-to-Day Winter Jacket

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I have a 1yr old daughter whose day-to-day routine consists of getting in and out the car to day care, or the occasional walk about at the near by park or just the neighborhood. This jacket is perfect for these cold days yet can be light enough come Spring time. I especially love the pattern (Moon Owl) and since it's Patagonia, it will sure be reused down the road.

    Go-to Gift

I bought this for my friend's little girl as a gift and she loves it (so does Mom). Everyone loves Patagonia, and appreciates the quality, durability and warmth this jacket provides. Plus it's cute!

      Great girly toddler coat!

My 2 and 4-year old kids both have these jackets and they are by far the most versatile piece in their wardrobes! I feel these jackets are true to size and my kids are pretty average size for their ages.

If you know 2 and 4-year olds, they are not easy on any piece of clothing yet these jackets have lasted nearly a year already with no rips, tears, or zipper issues. (And the kids always want to zip them up themselves and despite being rough while doing so, the zipper has stayed on it's track all the while!)

My kids have also spilled so much hot chocolate, oatmeal, milk, (and an occasional booger!) on these jackets and they never seem to look dirty, especially the Andes Blue color which my son is wearing. The mint color shows stains a bit more, but is surely no less durable. I have washed these jackets before in my washer on gentle cycle as well. They seem like the down is non-existent when they come out of the wash, but when you let them air dry, the down puffs back up again just like new!

They have worn these jackets year round since we got them in Fall 2014. We recently went camping and they were perfect for the cool late afternoon temps in the shade hanging out and also for early in the morning when the temps were in the 40's. Some embers from the campfire even landed on these jackets and didn't hurt the material! My son even wore his skiing last year when we forgot to pack his ski jacket one day. He reported that he was cozy warm but not too hot. (That balance is essential for happiness out on the slopes when the little ones are new skiers!) They have worn anything from t-shirts to bulky sweatshirts underneath and both work fine.

These jackets are also great for traveling. They pack down to nothing and look just fine even after being in a bag or backpack all crumpled up!

As you can see, there are certainly no complaints from these little munchkins about wearing their Patagonia Down sweaters! I highly recommend for durability, performance, and of course, cuteness!

One more thing - I can't help but also recommend the adult versions of this coat but with a hood - - same durability and performance for adults! We all have them!

      Great girly toddler coat!

We purchased this jacket for both of our girls. They absolutely love it. The jacket is very lightweight yet warm. Typically they want their jackets off when they have to sit in their car seats, but not with this one. They love wearing them. It's was worth the money.

      Great !

I really like it ! very warm and practical. My 3 year old seemed very comfortable wearing it over 2-3 layers in Colorado on dry cold days and also here in Texas just over a single layer.

      the BEST coat for toddlers!

I love this coat for infants and toddlers. Not only does it look cute and keep my daughter warm but it is not bulky at all and fits perfectly even under carseat straps. It is now our go-to jacket anytime we have to go anywhere in the car when it is cold. Unlike other bulky coats, my daughter doesn't mind putting it on or wearing it in her carseat. My daughter is 15 months old but very tall for her age and I wanted it to fit through the winter and early spring so I bought her the 2T. It fits nicely with a little extra length in the arms and room to grow. I think we may even get 2 seasons out of it.
