    Leverage without slippage.

Forget the constant slipping of homemade chain whips with the solid and sturdy performance of the Park Tool Shop Sprocket Remover/Chain Whip - SR-2.2. This sprocket remover/chain whip works with 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11-speed cassettes, meaning it's compatible with both Shimano/SRAM and Campagnolo. The heat-treated steel head with hardened bolts firmly hold the chain in place, while the rounded, vinyl-coated steel handle offers ample leverage and grip.

    Park quality as expected

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Park never seems to disappoint. Their products are top shelf and customer service, if needed, is excellent.

    Works like it's supposed to.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

When used with a large adjustable wrench and the lock ring removal tool, it makes removal of the cassette an easy matter. The long, rubber-coated handle affords plenty of grip and leverage. Definitely a good investment for the do-it-yourselfer!

    Definitely buy the shop-quality whip

You can buy a home mechanic chain whip, but stick with the shop-quality chain whip. No slips, works every time. I love this brand because I never have to dread using it. It just works. Works so well you don't even have to think about it. I've used home-mechanic chain whips also... they slip sometimes, don't have as much leverage. Sometimes the handles are made of cheap plastic. Skip those, buy this one.
