    Tried and True.

Channeling Park Tools' 35 years of experience producing industry-leading truing stands, the Professional Wheel Truing Stand - TS-2.2 improves upon the legendary performance of the TS-2 stand, making it more precise and versatile than ever (the previous TS-2 didn't work with 29-inch wheels). Its heavy gauge steel is nickel chrome plated for maximum durability, with a beautiful finish for your shop or garage workspace.

Lengthened uprights work with wheels up to 29-inches, both with and without the tire attached, accepting hubs from 80 to 175mm wide. Adjustable calipers attach to a wide variety of rims, from the narrowest racing rims to those 4-inches wide. Removable/replaceable composite caliper tips keep your high-end rims protected from scratches and blemishes. Both axle-clinching uprights move simultaneously to accommodate both the front and rear wheel. Note that this professional truing stand mounts to a work bench, also working nicely clenched within a vice.

This stand is great. Sure there are nicer truing stands for professional wheelbuilders, but for the rest of us I'd say this is the best I've used. The 2.2 fits bigger tires than the previous 2.0 so you don't have to pull tubeless tires off rims for a true. Quality is good and these stands have withstood plenty of abuse in a shop environment. I'd recommend bolting it to a workbench or if space is limited mount it to a board you can move out of the way. Park Tool sells an alignment gauge to make sure the stand is centered but in practice you don't need that often at all, especially if you have a dishing gauge. Oh - if you have thru axles, get some adapters.

Best Stand, But Not For Portable Use.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The standard for a well build truing stand for beginners or professional mechanics. Plenty of adjustments and add-ons to help with any truing, dishing, or building projects. The only downfall is that the optional base for portable use is absolutely terrible. Best to build your own if you do not want it permanently attached to your workbench.

    The Standard

This stand is industry standard. I've never worked in any bike shop that has used any alternative. Easy centering, easy adjustment, durable, and essential if you want to get any actual wheel work done and have professional results. It's worth the price you pay if you tend to tweak rims, need to build wheels etc. You can even add attachments for wheel disc brake repair which is handy.

This park to truing stand is one of the best investments I have ever made, with the ample amount of times that my wheeled gets out of true during the typical riding season I am quite happy that I invested my money in a tool of this caliber. And I have owned it for about a year and a half and it is utterly bombproof, it is made from some super high-quality materials and built for functionality.

you'll own this longer than many bikes..

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

If you're an avid cyclist or even a weekend warrior, bike maintenance is a constant. For the cost of this Park tool, you can pay for numerous wheel truing and even building services from your LBS. That said, its about the convenience of getting back on the trail for tomorrows ride that makes tool ownership and gaining some knowhow invaluable. The 2.2 fits many wheels with tires on and with the extensions, I've been able to fit 5" tires on 90mm 26" rims as well as 3" tires on 29+ rims. The base for this stand also keeps spoke wrenches close at hand and enhances stability when a big wheel is spinning. With the base, I've not found a need to mount it--it spends most of its life on my (garage) workbenc--truing mine and my fellow riders wheels and then moves easily in the house for occasional wheelbuilding duties in front of the TV.

      Only the Best

Don't waste your money buying a less expensive stand. Park's is easily adjustable, super durable and does its job without any complaints.

      True shop quality

No other truing stand quite like it. Durable and made to last, but also impeccably accurate. The new model (the TS-2.2 that you are looking at) as built-in 29" compatibility, which is a big plus compared to the previous generation. Can't say enough good things.

The one tool every rider will need.

Yeah, you have great chance of screwing up your wheels but once you figure it out this is the greatest tool in any shop.

I won't bring my wheels into any shop to be built or trued. I like them perfect. Dished, trued with the tire off and the spokes tensioned.

The only way to be sure is to do it yourself. The stand will pay for itself in just a few years. if you let anyone of your buddies know you have one you will have them bumming turns using it.

          Great build quality

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Some things are just better than others and this is one of them, end your search with this and you won't need to look or want for another, very nice quality and works like it should, awesome item.

Just got mine and used it 2x's

          • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Works like a charm once you get it centered. Very heavy and a lifelong wheel true stand that you will never need to buy another I assure you. I suggest you get the optional base kit as well. Makes life so much simpler than securing to your workbench. So if your anal like me on at least once per year truing wheels you better get the best and never look back!

          Get the extension adapters

Great tool a must have for any true mech. Although I ride a twenty nine and if I need to true the wheels I have to take off the tire so if that would be a hassle I recommend the extension adapters

            You'll want a base.

A base for your truing stand isn't neccesary, but you'll probably want one. You could buy one, but the one I made is way sweeter. Notice the spoke nipples that hold the drawers closed. Oh yeah.

            You'll want a base.
