Elegant Apres Coat

I purchased this coat for going to town on non-snow sport days. I love that it is lightweight and yet keeps me warm when the temperatures are in the 20s. The Parajumpers decal, epaulets and olive green lining makes it unique. I am 5'6" and weigh 119 pounds. The small was a perfect fit although, I would go up to a medium if you plan on wearing double layers underneath. The Backcountry Gearheads were most helpful with providing answers to my sizing and laundering questions.

I always wear a small in clothing and outerwear and this coat was too small in the shoulders. You can see from reviews for other parajumpers coats that this is common for the brand. Otherwise, it looks like a very nice coat -- the red color is beautiful and very unique.

Thanks for the review, Ada!

I combed the internet for months (years?) looking for the perfect down coat. I ended up choosing the Leah jacket. Initially upon trying it on, I loved that it was lightweight and had great loft. The face fabric is really nice and the zipper has some cool details. OH and it's super flattering! I was a little surprised at some of the details - the inner placket has some orange trim, and there is a patch on the right shoulder that isn't all that visible in the product photos. Surprising and maybe I would have preferred the jacket without them, but not deal breakers. The coat is missing some of the creature comforts you might find on a jacket from The North Face or other brands - the collar isn't brushed inside, the pocket linings aren't soft, the edge of the collar is a little rough. But, like I said, the face fabric is nice, the jacket is lightweight and warm, and also super flattering.
