    Started off well...

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had the Kodiak Plus for 5 months now, and have used it a fair amount in a variety of conditions (including multiple backcountry excursions) during that time. That said, it hasn't been exposed to moisture of any kind. It worked great at first, and will still charge devices, but now I'm starting to run into issues charging the battery pack itself. It won't charge when plugged into an iPhone wall adapter. The only way I can currently charge it is off my laptop. Not sure why, maybe has something to do with the output, but this shouldn't be happening.

    KODIAK Fail!!!

I purchased the Kodiak Plus apprx 1 month ago. The product was delivered with half a charge, no big deal. I plugged in my new tech and gained a full charge. I have since charged my I-phone 5 times (the phone was not completely depleted of life). The Kodiak will no longer take a charge. It has not been in the weather. It has not been abused (in ANY manner). I have multiple times in the past several days to recharge the KODIAK Plus. It simply will not take a charge. FAIL

      What He Man says...

"I have the power!!" And you don't have to have a dorky haircut, or wear tights, or ride a tiger to get it. Though, riding a tiger would be pretty bad ass.

My wife was so impressed with borrowing my Kodiak bricks that she asked for her own.

I purchased the Kodiak Plus for her instead. I really like it.

It is much skinnier than the Kodiaks and a bit taller or longer.

The two ports allowing you to charge two devices at once is also a really cool feature.

My wife had other Reps asking her what the Kodiak was and then wanting to borrow a charge from her while they are in their booths at shows and vendor fairs.

At least with the Kodiak plus she can charge her ear piece and phone at the same time or two phones at once. Not to mention charging her tablet.

I would highly recommend these Kodiak power bricks in either the Kodiak or Kodiak Plus.

The Kodiak Plus is a Beast

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Ive been using this charger nonstop for the last 3 months, and it has stood up to rain, snow, sleet, sand, and smoke. As a wild land firefighter having the ability to keep my phone charged when I'm away from a socket for weeks at a time is essential. The Kodiak plus is a beast.

Here's the specs for how many full charges this thing can provide on a full battery:
        iPhone 6: 4x charges
        Galaxy: 3x charges
        Gopro: 8x charges
        iPad: 1x charge

One thing to know, is that the Kodiak plus is marketed specifically with outdoor application in mind. There are batteries on the market that are cheaper, and lighter weight. What you get with the Kodiak plus is that it's shockproof, waterproof, and offers 10,000 milliamp hours (a measure of electric power over time). If you need a spare battery for business trips, this might not be for you, but if you need a battery for powering your outdoor adventures, look no further.

Ill be coming back to this review with some of my own tests in the next few days. let me know if you have any questions on how this thing performs.

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

1st day at disney for over a week long trip, and the 3 of us realized quickly phone battery use dwindles quickly with all the downtime, purchesed this pack downtown disney and itilized it the rest of the trip, we all got an extra charge everyday, although it was the most expensive , all the others were cheaper off disney property, this one was priced the same everywhere so i didnt feel i was getting ripped off
