Keeps my ears warm

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I really like this hat. Warm, lightweight, pretty breathable, and covers my ears. Though the look of this hat screams outdoorsy and looks a bit dorky, but the highly engineered construction and the earflaps makes it such a technical and useful piece

Great quality and style

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Gave this as a gift and they love it! My friend has a small head but still needed a l/xl size. Keeps you warm and dry but doesn't overheat you. Great quality and design. Highly recommend.

Great function and style

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My husband is on the smaller size and the small fit his head great. We went snow showing and he said it blocked the wind great, breathed well and he could hear well. He lost the one he bought about 4 years ago, and it was still going strong, even after several washes. We always air dried it.

Thank you for the review, Kelly! Leta OR Rep

Winter Run Must-Have

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Bought as a gift for my brother and my dad for winter running in Wisconsin and Boston. The fit is nice and snug without being too tight and keeps you warm on the coldest days.

Hey Kari - thank you for passing on the review! Leta OR Rep

A hat that actually covers the ears

Familiarity:

Finally a hat that covers the ears without making you feel like you've lost all hearing.

Thank you Peter! So true. Great hat! Leta OR Rep

Super Warm

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Fit:
True to size

My wife and I live at 7200 feet in Park City. I have to snowblow 300 inches a year and this is my go too hat. On the coldest windy days this hat keeps my ears nice and toasty. Also because its made of windstopper you can wash and dry it and not worry about melting the windproof/water resistant membrane.

Superb Hat !!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer
Fit:
True to size

Just received two Wind Warrier hats. They fit well after stretching out a bit and are super warm & wind proof, plus they are comfortable to wear !! Now if you would please kindly make a classic envelope ski hat of this same thick wind-stopper material in XL size !! Thanking you in advance, Steve

Hey Steve, check out our Peruvian... is that the style you are referring to when you say "envelope?" Without the flaps, right? Happy to pass on the suggestion to the designers at OR. Please let me know if I understand what you are saying. Leta OR Rep

Thanks for the message, no it's not like the Peruvian. It is the original wind stopper fleece hats you began making about twenty years ago(not a beanie style like the warrier), but instead of the paper thin fleece used in last years design, please use a double thickness (just like the warrier) & keep the ear flaps built in !!

I remember those hats, they were amazing! The best hat on the market. Agree that the wind warrior and peruvian are OK but just not the same

L/XL

I bought this in L/XL and it fits my big head very well. This hat is really warm and light. I also like that it doesn't muffle sounds like most WindStopper hats do because it has WindPro over the ears.

Fit Is an issue

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

My 23" head is too big for the smaller size, and too small for the larger size to fit comfortably. Maybe OR makes a medium sold elsewhere. It is warm and well shaped, though the ones with contrasting colors look a little goofy to me.

Super warm and windproof

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

Very warm and proven to be windproof - I was on an open vehicle at high speeds and this kept me warm! Fits nicely over the ears to keep them snug. I like that it comes it sizes as I have a small head, the small/medium size fit just right

Great beanie!!

This thing is amazing!!! super soft fleece inside and has kept my head nice and toasty for multiple hours in around 10 degree weather. I love the ear flaps as well.

Anoying flips

I looked forward to use this hat under harsh and cold condition. The 'ear-flips' flips outwards and it is annoyin, when they do that. It looks silly and the protection is thus not adequate. This hat is so-so and I was medium disapointed when I realized that what was surposed to protect me and my ears/chins, did not.

I'm am between sizes. Does this mean that...

I'm am between sizes. Does this mean that the smaller version will be too tight and the larger too loose?

It is not a real stretchy kind of hat so fit is important. I have a 22.5" head circumference and the L/XL is loose on me. Not enough to make it useless, but it doesn't fit tight and the earflaps are a bit loose. Great fabric, not a great fit so not the first cap I look for in the closet.
