Great all round pants!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pants fit great and are made out of some really cool material that's nice and stretchy. Perfect all around pants for hanging around the house to doing stuff outdoors and even work for going out. I immediately bought a second pair after I wore my first pair only one time. Love them!!

Voodoo pants are highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've purchased the voodoo pants multiple times for skiing. The pants run true to size, wear like iron, comfortable and look great.

Too tight around upper thighs and hips

The fit around the hips and upper thighs is terrible. It's just way too tight.

Favorite pants

I bought these for backpacking and kayaking and they are wonderful for both activities, plus they look great and are so comfortable that I routinely wear them to agency trainings, as well as to simply hang out with buddies or go out. The side cargo pocket is just large enough to hold a couple of small items, but not so large as to be bulky or invite too many items. They are well made. I simply wish OR would make them in additional colors.

These pants are pure magic!

I can honestly say that after five days of hiking and camping in the Grand Canyon, I have zero complaints! They're comfortable, lightweight, and dry quickly. I highly recommend these. Theyre appropriately named because they are magic!

Loved them before the redesign

I loved the old design on these, the cut was amazing and they were awesome! The new design isn't terrible, but dang why'd thy have to ruin something that was perfect! The cut is too tight, the button stud fastener over the slim snap makes them less comfortable with a belt. No zipper in the rear pocket is another bad move and it seems like the boot cut is now slimmer to be more stylish. Please go back to the old design it was truly perfect. On the other hand these are still made extremely well and the material is just the best stuff ever.

Outdoor pants that fit thick dudes

Im not scrawny and ive got a larger posterior than the average guy so outdoor pants rarely fit right. These are another story. Perfect length (im 6'2) and perfect fit. Ive got a pair in each color. I normally wear a 35 or 36 waist, and the size 36 in these fit me. And comfortable!

Original design was the best. New design is a huge miss!

The original design of these pants were the best, hands down. I still have a pair from 10 years ago that have been put threw the ringer and still are usable. They always just fit perfect. The flex and cut provided just enough room. This new design is so bad I will be looking at other brands for future use. Plus I doubt the new ones will get much use. The first thing that struck me is the crotch hangs way to low if you don't hike them up to your belly button. Once you hike them up, good luck using the fly if you use it for what it's intended for. It basically opens up just below you belly button. Not to mention these are not fashion retro "mom" jeans. Pull the waist down to a normal hight and the crotch area hangs so low it inhibits even basic movements. Forget climbing or doing anything remotely athletic with them pulled down. Next is how tight the upper thigh are is. Stretch is a good thing but these are not supposed to be skin tight. The flex is good to let them adapt to extreme movements of the body, not shrink wrap it. I also noticed when I compared an old pair side by side that little build details that added fit and durability have been removed. The original had on each knee 4 stitched areas that helps the knee structure of the pants. This helped so they would not bunch up and increased durability. Also on the pockets there is extra stitching at the corners similiar to the rivits on good jeans. None of this appears on the "updated" desgin. All in all they took the best fitting and most versitile pants I have ever owned and made them cheaper and un-wearable. I will be looking to other brands to fill this gap now.

Not as durable as advertised

I bought these to wear on backpacking trips towards the end of the 2022 season. They fit on the loose side of true to size. I had to use a belt to get them snug which isn't a big deal, but the legs from the knees down were incredibly baggy and loose. I wore them on two backpacking trips, one in the late summer and one in the early fall. They are best suited for warm weather as they didn't offer much if any insulation once the temps were below 55deg. During the second trip a big hole opened up on the ankle of one leg. Part of the trail involved some scrambling over rocks and granite slabs as well as going through some overgrown brush, so I assume the abrasion from one of those sections caused the fabric to rip open a hole. I expect more from pants at this price point that advertise high durability, so I'll be looking at different pants to replace them. I'd only recommend these for light hiking use where there isn't any direct contact with anything abrasive.
