Why We Like The Outdoor Research Tungsten II Pant
Tungsten, the metal, is known for its ability to add strength and hardness to steel. The Outdoor Research Tungsten II Pant on the other hand, is know for adding strength to your alpine adventures by promoting movement and weatherproof coverage. The VerticalX Eco insulation offers lightweight warmth for easy movement, while the 2-layer GORE-TEX laminate seals out moisture and wind while wicking sweat. Small details like the waist adjustment tabs, an avalanche beacon pocket, and reinforced kick patches on the ankles further encourage alpine adventures.

Reat fitting Pant
This is a wonderful pant. Designed to fit the athletic ladies, with excellent placement of pockets, and the perfect length for ski boots. Recommend the short length of 29.5", stays clear of bindings and drapes well.

Will keep me dry...
I took the leap and bought a size large because medium would have been way too small. The Large is roomy and the legs are a bit balloony, but take the good with the bad? I have other medium pants from OR. There are lots of pockets, vents and will be comfy. Hopefully I'll migrate toward skiing on these and away from my old pants.

Waist too tight on medium
I have the skytour pants in medium and am usually a 28 waist - 5'7" 135 lbs. The Tungsten medium short waist was too tight (buttons would close, but very uncomfortable) - but the legs were perfect. I got the large short - the waist was fine, but the legs were super baggy, especially in the calves where there is no insulation.

Great product
I bought these for my daughter. The fit was perfect for the size. We had bought a different brand a few weeks before and the fit was very small so these worked great. They kept her warm during skiing and the added vents helped cool her down after a hard day skiing.

OR Sizing has drastically changed and its upsetting
I currently own ski pants from OR that are 6 years old. I'm a size Small Petitie. I am trying to get a new pair and I bought a Medium and they were a couple inches too tight, and so I got a large and they were super baggy around the hips. What's crazy is I wear a Small Petite OR Pant and they fit fantastic but just trying to get a newer pair I have to get a Large if I need it to fit at all. It's pretty mentally traumatizing, especially as a woman for the mental game to jump 'sizing' so much, and still not able to find a size that fits. I really want these pants to fit because as a pant, they are exactly what I am looking for, but no win as sizing doesn't fit.

Great Inbound pants!
Yesterday was typical for my PNW ski resort: high winds, slow lifts. Insulated pants made all the difference in being able to stay warm and continue to enjoy the day. That plus a squeegee for the rime! The sizing seems a little slimmer than other ski pants I have from OR - if you are on the more "athletic" size of build I would size up.
