3rd best version I've had.

This is the third pair of these I had. The first were before the sensor piece which were the best. The second pair lacked the dexterity as the sensor piece was inflexible. The sensor on these is better and the dexterity too, but who decided to put a seam in the middle of the thumb? It digs in when doing things like shoveling, chopping l, holding ski poles, etc. Big mistake. The warm isn't an issue for me as I know how I dress determines how warm my hands may be.

My Favorite EDC Gloves

I have owned an older version of these for the past 7-8 years. They quickly became my favorite gloves I own. Are they the warmest gloves I own? No. I don't understand the negative reviews for lack of warmth. OR clearly rates these as not very warm. That's your fault for buying the wrong product for your intended use. Don't get me wrong, they're warm. I typically wear them shoveling snow, walking the dog, hiking, running, or anything else outside when it is either 30° F or above. These are also a great pair of gloves to keep in your truck. Once you get below 30 these start to lack the warmth you need, but above, they're perfect. Improvements I appreciate are the wrist zipper instead of hook/loop, and the removal of that fuzzy tissue material on the back of the thumb that always stars falling apart no matter who makes em. These gloves are extremely dextrous and durable, and that's a big reason I love em. I don't feel hindered in doing what I need to with my fingers while wearing them. The thumb is a bit too long by about 1/4" on these new ones, so if you have lots anger thumbs these might be perfect for you. Inside the gloves is a soft, comfortable micro fleece sort of material that adds a little warmpth as well. I have to ever felt wind come through them unless it is a stiff wind while also being 30 or below, so they block wind effectively. The leather palms is flexible and durable. I've done light yard work, snow blowing and shoveling, etc and the palms still show no sign of wear. I do treat the leather annually which may be one reas on they've held up so well. I also grab these when I go fill up my water jugs with local spring water in the winter. Although they are not waterproof, they shed the splashed water when filling up the jugs just fine and don't soak through. Overall, still my fav pair of gloves. Snag a pair, use em for what they're made for, and I think you'll like them too.

Finger length is way off!

This would absolutely be the best intermediate weather gloves for mountaineering, skiing and general backcountry cold weather use if it weren't for the misproportioned finger lengths. It's so far off of a standard glove that it's maddening they chose this sizing and ruined an otherwise perfect glove. For example, take a look at your hand with your fingers straightened. If your index, middle and ring fingers are all the same length or your middle finger is slightly shorter, you'll be good. If your index or ring fingers are shorter than your middle finger, the glove will be excessively long on those fingers, by at least the length difference from your middle finger. The specific gloves I received has the middle finger as the shortest of those three fingers. The overall sizing seems great in other areas, given the gloves intent. I normally wear a medium glove and they fit well enough (but slightly loose) in other areas with just enough room to fit a liner glove underneath without being too tight (which is exactly what I wanted & dual purpose).

The best gloves you'll ever buy

These gloves are the go to for any outdoor adventure. Works flawlessly with any smart phone so you don't have to take them off on the trail. The grab handles are very sturdy which makes putting them on a breeze. These gloves are extremely high quality and built to last.

Longtime ski touring glove

I have had 3-5 pairs of these by now and they are my primary touring glove in CO. They certainly are not the warmest glove, but I am able to do laps without ever taking them off or changing gloves. I will probably buy another pair!

Not warm.

Been using these as commuter gloves during the winter, they provide minimal to no warmth. They look good but serve no purpose as a winter/cold weather glove. These are better suited for fall at best.

Perfect uptrack gloves for cold windy days.

A great glove to block the wind and retain your heat on the uptrack during those cold windy days. Still allows your hands to breath without sweating and the leather is exceptionally durable. Form fitting ensures you can still open zippers and do buckles without removing your hands. Just enough waterproofing to stay dry in the snow. A great all around glove for a variety of activities.

Good mid-weight glove with lots of dexterity

I wear these over a set of mid-weight liners and they can handle skiing in drier areas like CO. Wouldn't wear these in the PNW with its wetter snow. Also a great general purpose mountaineering and technical alpine glove with or without liners. Have used them skiing on windy, 15 degree days (with liners); climbing volcanoes in WA with temps down to around 0F (with liners) and ice climbing in ~10 degree temps (without liners, but the dexterity is fantastic). Wind resistance is good, but obviously no real insulation.

I would recommend for light use in mild to cold temperatures

The build quality is great and has a cool design but if it's below 50 degrees these gloves can't handle the cold. These gloves are super comfortable and has good movement in the hands! These gloves don't excel in the wind so I was kind of bummed about that but overall not a bad buy! Will continue to support Outdoor research!
