Simply a GOOD product

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

As a Trail Maintenance and Construction leader I am in 'junk' up to my knees [literally] for much of my working day. I have found these gaiters TOTALLY capable of keeping me engaged with my crew and work assignments. No need to find a stump or rock [as a seat] after my boots become overtopped and filled with duff and soil! During a winter recon session to site new trail, I'm up to my thigh in snow all day and my feet remain dry! One issue; after several seasons of really DIFFICULT/HARD use, the velcro tabs on the lower front of these things has given-up. Through miles of nettles, grasses and brambles the velcro no longer holds. Meh! I'm buying a new pair! Oh, as someone over 60 trips around the sun - the fact that these things are so light-weight is very much appreciated, even though they are attached to my boots every moment i'm on the trail...

Good enough!

I didn't want to purchase full, shin length gators. I used these to keep rain, sand, mud, and anything else out of my boots while hiking with a heavy pack. Very reliable!

Good 3 season gaiter

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I like the hook & loop "safety" latch to prevent brush from ripping open the main hook & loop closure as I bought these to replace summer gaiters that were lost to the forest during a trek through heavy hobble brush. Worked well with my hiking boots to keep out dirt and debris. Appear to be well made.

Thank you Roger! Leta OR Rep

Good gaiters that get the job done! The fit is pretty good, every once in awhile I'll have to readjust.

Keep out the rocks and dirt.

I've owned this pair of gaitors for 2 years. I used them every time I hike to keep out sand, rocks, etc. They work perfect. The velcro still holds like new. I would recommend them to anyone who hikes in shoes and wants a gaitor that does its job without making you sweat. the stitching has held up and I like these more than small neoprene gaitors.

I appreciate the feedback, Jason! Leta OR Rep

Summer Gaiters!

A must have to round out your summer gear! These help so much for general hiking to keep dust/ dirt and water out of the top of my boot! I'm so much happier after a full day of hiking when I'm wearing these!

Exactly what I needed

Familiarity:

I bought these for a 6 day Grand Canyon Backpacking trip. I wanted something shorter than my full length gaiters that would keep dust, dirt and debris out of my boots. These fit the bill perfectly. Performance wise OR gaiters worked great. The fine grained soil in the canyon was kept out of my boots and my feet stayed relatively clean given the conditions. We did not have rain but they materials look like they would work as well in wet conditions as they did in dry and dusty conditions. These OR gaiters are now my go to summer gaiters going forward.

Thank you so much, Rob! Enjoy! Leta OR Rep

Reasonable waterproofing, good fit

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Gaiters are good for moderate amounts of water. I am walking through tall grass, which is wet for about four hours in the morning, and if the grass is very wet the gaiters soak through after about an hour. On regularly wet days, the gaiters definitely keep my feet dry. Fit on these are excellent. Impressed with the strap that goes around under the shoe, because it is a stretchy/taut material (an extra effort on quality in my opinion).

Great economical option

I had a chance to test these out with a 24” snowfall in the days after I received them. They work just as I had hoped and help keep my feet dry and snow free.

Excellent! Thanks Taylor! Leta OR Rep

Here's a photo of my NEW OR Rocky Mountain Low Gaiters in action. Seem to be well made, keeps the dust off my socks and out of my pant leg, along with saw dust out of my boot. A little hard to get use of being their so short, but they worked out just fine.. Thank you all there at Backcountry another outstanding job..
