I keep these in my pack when I am cross country skiing.. They are in light and keep my gloves dry in case I need to put my hands in the snow. They are still moderately flexible. You do have to remember that they are supposed to fit over liner or ragwool gloves, but the medium ones fit over my medium ragwool gloves just fine.

Would you say for fitting over heavy wool mittens to size up to allow room? I measure medium so i worry medium shell would be too tight over my mittens or gloves. Thanks

This mitts wetted out in thirty minutes.

Not sure how you were wearing them. I think these shells are perfect over rag wool or liner gloves to keep them dry. When done, you can take them apart and let things dry out quickly compared to one piece mittens or gloves.

Nice shell glove for sweaty hands

My hands are warm and they sweat quite a bit and other GoreTex gloves have liners in them which is not ideal since they are all either too warm or too cold. With these, I can wear liners with the right warmth inside so my hands are always comfortable instead of being too warm or too cold.

So happy to have found you guys. I needed these for my wool mittens and they fit in there just perfect. They are just the wright thickness for what I needed. I am anxious to try them out next winter. Nice doing business with you.

Solid

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I really like these as a shell for thinner gloves. They’re also nice and light so you can carry them on your harness to keep your hands warm at a chilly or windy belay. Only problem is that my hands are kind of wide and stubby so they feel a bit narrow to me. Next time I’ll get a large instead of my usual medium glove size. certainly a solid piece of gear.

Thanks for the great review and insight on sizing!

Should you size up one to go over wool mittens or gloves?

Looking at the Revel mitt as an outer shell for a pair of Outdoor Research Transcendent down mitts. I usually wear size large in gloves and mitts but wondering if I should size up for the shell or whether they are sized to cope with bulky liners ?
