Radiant warmth for cold and demanding adventures.
Whether you're working your way up a technical alpine route, laying the hammer down on a steep skin track, or just sipping your morning coffee, the Outdoor Research Women's Radiant Hybrid Jacket will be your go-to layer when you need warmth and breathability. Radiant fleece fabric is both breathable and quick drying, making it an ideal midlayer in high and demanding conditions. This powerstretch fleece is a close-fitting, flattering top. Outdoor research can be depended on for outdoor gear and this promises to be a very warm layer when I actually reach my frigid sub-zero vacation destination. I will be wearing this as a base under a windproof down jacket.
Lackluster, expected more

I love OR apparel/gear but recently, it seems the best items I have are from years ago. For example, I have a hybrid (fleece/other tech material) jacket from OR that I got about 5 years ago. It's my go-to for winter trail runs - it has zip pockets, a hood, wicks but is warm, and is nicely fitted. I got this one (Radiant Hybrid) thinking I could use the alternative without a hood (plus my older jacket is now grungy but still functional). I am returning it because it's basically "blah." The fit is shapeless and too large (shape is important less for vanity and more for functionality - don't want stuff flapping around/loose, etc.); the materials seem to be of lesser quality than the other hybrid I have; it's hardly warm (basically did nothing for me when I tried it on); and one tiny chest pocket ain't gonna help (where to put keys, maps, extra gloves, snacks ...). (Note: the men's version has a hood, which would've given this women's version at least something value-added.) At the sale price, it's probably a decent value, though, and I know/read it works well for others.
really pretty pink-purple color
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The color of this jacket is really pretty - a bit blue, a bit purple - like raspberry. Really fun to wear and matches so much other stuff. (The color on the website is more accurate than the photo I posted.)
It fits like a glove. I'd probably call it a sweater more than a jacket because it doesn't have any hand pockets - only one chest pocket. It's not very thick so better for warmer days or as a lighter layer.
It's got thumb loops which I like and the arms are long enough that you can use them without pulling. In terms of length it hits right at about waist level.
Soft and fits exactly.
