    Always in my pack!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I always have these in my pack for hiking and glacier climbing (half the time, I have to lend them to my idiot friends). I'm picky about gloves, but these are form-fitting and strike a good balance between warmth and dexterity. Touchscreen compatibility is key for navigating and taking photos with a smartphone. The silicone grippers will peel and I wore a couple holes in the fingertips after a season of heavy use, but I replaced them all the same. My only complaint is that the fibers tend to stick to the metal on my ice axe, carabiners, etc., in cold conditions.
