- Q & A
not for climbing
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: small
- Height: 5'7"
- Weight: 120lbs
I wore this once climbing outside and within half a day had ripped two small holes in it where it brushed against the rock. The tank is really pretty and comfortable and I'm a recent Outdoor Research convert but I'm disappointed that this was marketed for climbing - it's not durable at all and would be better for running in hot weather. I regret wearing it out climbing brand new, wish I could return it :( 5'7.5
Great for those with lots of back muscle
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This has become my new go-to tank. I have a lot of back muscle and a large rib cage from years of rock climbing, and this one thankfully doesnât feel tight there. The super thin fabric over the sports bra is clutch for climbing on hot days. Itâs like wearing just a sports bra but you have the coverage around your midriff that you wouldnât if you only wore a sports bra. I like to eat, sometimes too much, and I donât want to make it obvious to everyone else that I ate too much before exercising! I have the flame/scarlet and the black; both look awesome (black seems to be a bit more flattering) and have received lots of compliments on. Iâve seen the typhoon/Baltic on others and if you like color, thatâs probably the one to go with. Fit is a bit roomier than other OR tanks the same size (Iâm 5â3â, 140lbs and 37â around widest part of chest and the M is very comfy/not tight light some other tanks). The bra comes with pads, but they require some fiddling with each wear, so you might decide to just lose the pads.
