Why We Like The Lost Coast Fingerless Mittens

Chilly campground cooking is better with the Lost Coast Fingerless Mittens. The mitt flap quickly secures to the hidden magnet attachment readying our digits for delicate breakfast burrito rolling. Once their task is done, our fingers retreat back inside the cozy fleece-lined pocket before shaking our mates awake.

Great pair of gloves

These mitts are soooo warm. They do run bigger on the size so be prepared for that.

Soft and Warm

They're fashionable, warm and flexible. They're my 3rd pair in the last 8 years because I wear them all the time. The thumbs tend to wear out because the material runs against the seatbelt when I'm putting it on. I need to not do that.

Hard to Imagine Warmer

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This glove is clearly made with such quality and beyond warm. I could see it being ideal for many winter activities. Unfortunately, for me, it is not a great fit for dog walking. The glove is so thick that I couldn’t fit it within my retractable leash handle. A real bummer, but such a great product.

Downgraded quality

I got this for super cold weather after seeing my husband's but the quality has gone downhill. I'm not even sure it'll be as warm as before... The mitten portion used to be white sherpa but is now made of some blue plasticy feeling rough curly fleece which isn't as soft or warm as sherpa as advertised (yes sherpa is fleece but not all fleece is sherpa). It's also a bit tighter around the mitten pocket compared to before. The label and description says it's part suede but the palm part that was suede in the past is now replaced with some thin slightly fuzzy polyester made to look like suede. It doesn't look like suede, smell or feel like suede. You can even see the woven fibers making up the faux suede. The price hasn't gone down despite the degradation of this product and the labels lie about the materials. If you look at the materials list itself, you'll see there's no mention of suede/leather. The thin material probably won't last as long as actual leather. A serious disappointment in this long standing highly rated company. If you are fully knowledgeable about what you are actually receiving vs what is marketed, then buy these gloves. They are probably still warm based off others reviews though I don't know when the product changed, and the thin fleece inside the glove keeps you warm. The wool (probably still real) knit is also thicker than others of similar convertible glove/mitten types. The length down the wrist has also gotten longer than before. It's not all bad, I'm just disappointed in their misleading marketing and lower quality product when they're supposed to be a company known for quality products and it has made me lose a lot of trust in them.

Good idea terrible execution

The pull-over mitten part is much narrower than the fingers and will cut off your circulation.

Great gift

I love my pair enough that I got my dad the same ones! Warm, comfortable, stylish, and practical.

Great for daily errands

Fabric between outer and inner glove could be sewn together so inner fabric doesn't come out as much with hand when it is removed. I usually wear a medium, but with the sizing of these gloves probably could have gotten a small (the thumbs are pretty long).

Great gloves.

The gloves are super well made. Comfortable and warm. My only critiques would be the mitt part is a little small. When the mitt is my fingers are somewhat uncomfortably squished in. The other being placement of the magnets or perhaps a stronger magnet to hold the mitt back. Would buy again for sure though.

One of a kind

These are the only fingerless gloves that I can find that also have the padded hands! As a bike rider, other wool gloves I have had are destroyed in one winter, but these last. This is now my second pair of these gloves as my previous pair I wore for many years with great joy.
