Perfect Pack for Carrying the Basics

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I gave this backpack as a gift and have this review to share:

"This backpack is the perfect size for carrying all of your climbing basics. As seen in the picture, I'm able to carry my climbing shoes, chalk bag, extra chalk, harness, and a few other smaller accessories. Although there isn't an abundance of pockets in the backpack, there are plenty of loops for hooking carabiners and clips as need to carry extra gear if desired. It has a comfortable fit when wearing it thanks to all of the adjustable shoulder, chest, and stomach straps, and the blue color is hard to beat. I'm sure it would be great to wear on actual climbs but I simply use it to carry things to and from the destination.

Perfect Pack for Carrying the Basics

    Snug climbing pack

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got this over the winter and used it on a few XC ski trips, and so far this spring I have worn it on three multi-pitch climbs. I used it to carry shoes, a lightweight jacket, water bottle, and odds and ends. It fits snugly against the back so I barely noticed it while climbing. I like the simplicity: one compartment, with a zippered pocket under the lid, and two small zippered pockets on the waist bands. The drawstring top and cinch-down lid allow you to adjust the size of the pack depending on how full it is.

Great bag for all day climbs

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I use this pack to do multi pitch climbing and I love it. It is light and adjustable. I use a osprey hydration bladder and it works well with the clip plus it adds to the rigidity of the bag. The plastic insert that comes in it just protects your back from sharp objects but does little in the way of providing anything else. My first impressions of the bag were that it would be something I pull out of a larger bag at the base of a route but it has some approach potential for lighter ascents. I have taken it on a couple of long climbs with no durability issues but I have not taken in a human size crack and chimneyed with it on. You cannot beat this pack for the price.
