Why We Like The Outdoor Research Hemispheres II Jacket
There's no need to sacrifice waterproofing for mobility and breathability with the Outdoor Research Hemispheres II Jacket. The GORE-TEX C-Knit 3-layer shell is lightweight and breathable while the GORE-TEX 2-layer panels with Stretch Technology add movement-mirroring stretch. Moreover, it's fully waterproof, so when we're skiing powder up to our chest we don't have to worry about moisture permeating into our layers.

Man, I Love This Jacket
Very comfortable. I can wear a sweater and vest and still easily zip up the Men's Hemisphere jacket. The hood provides excellent coverage.

Breathable, durable, and waterproof
I've taken this on around 10 days skiing (with a few being backcountry) and have not had it miss a beat. Very breathable for the level of weatherproofing it affords. I've been in the pouring rain, dumping snow, and it hasn't let me down! Lots of nice features you would expect in a higher price bracket

Hemispheres II Gore-Tex Jacket
I bought this coat for skiing and have only been up once. I feel I can give a much more accurate review at the end of the season. So far...quality appears to be very good and all zippers work well. Like the stash pocket inside and also the chest pocket. I wish it had a chest pocket on the right side to go with the one on the left. Like the vent zips on both sides.

It does the job
I'm 5ft 10in 170 and got the large which is nice for the ability to layer up when needed. The cinch hood and waist keep it from looking and feeling too baggy. It sheds water and has kept me dry in the one storm I wore it in. No touring with it yet, but seems to have ample vents Two cons- No arm pocket for your ski pass. Cuffs are a bit tight and difficult to get over gloves.

Best Jacket yet!
I have the jacket and matching bibs, by far the most comfortable shell combination I have ever worn. The stretch and flexibility is my favorite part about these garments. Yes they are waterproof and keep you dry in all manner of mountain environments (and a hike in a coastal monsoon) but other jackets can do that as well. It is the comfort that really sets this apart. Well executed and excellent quality.

My favorite shell
This is my 3rd shell and by far my favorite. The fit is excellent and the stretch panel feels very nice. I wear this shell resort and backcountry skiing.

Top-notch Waterproof Shell- highly recommend
I've been very impressed with this jacket so far. Every part feels high quality. The zippers are robust and perfect with a smooth and sturdy feel. Some of the online photos made the neck area seem a little bulky and awkward, but it's just right in reality. I'm a big fan of the stretch panel for both style and function. I've used this so far to protect myself on the waterways while riding on small boats. Winds, rain, and salt spray are no match for the Hemispheres II. I'm 6'2" 175lbs and the Medium fits perfectly for me, allowing room for layers without looking baggy. I highly recommend this jacket and this company. I've always had a good experience with customer service.

Bomb proof
I bought this jacket after numerous other OR jackets and glad I did. I'm 6' 180lbs and got the large to be able to layer easily and have Olea toy of sleeve length over gloves. I'm a Colorado adventurer and wear this snowboarding the big resorts and Silverton backcountry. Also wear snowmobiling and sledding with the kids. Will never need another jacket, high quality product. Only challenge was that sippers were sticking but a little chapstick and they slide like butter. Love how beefy the zippers are.

80 Resort Days and Still Great
This jacket is great (I actually have the previous model where the stretch panels slope below the back of the shoulders rather than directly down the middle of the back but otherwise looks more or less identical). Feels thinner than any other 3L jacket, but still feels tough. No holes or rips after 80 resort days last season with a lot of time in the terrain park and plenty of tumbles. The side zips are awesome for venting the heat. Wet snow or sleet have never penetrated the shell. I am between a medium and large but because of the stretch panels I was able to size down for a more streamlined fit and it doesn't feel restrictive at all, even with a thick base layer and mid layer. The one thing is that the velcro wrist strap on one side started separating at the stitched seam early on, even though I never used them, but its not really a problem for me because I don't use them, and I have the option to get it repaired or replaced because of the infinite guarantee (although there's a big wait time at the moment). I got this because I wanted something lighter weight and more breathable and flexible for backcountry use but its proven itself to be versatile enough to be a dedicated resort shell. Would definitely get this again.

Amazing Jacket.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not worn this jacket yet but if it s anything like my other OR jacket it will not disappoint at all. Quality material, amazing craftsmanship and they do what they promise to do as well. Amazing gear!
