Great fit. Lightweight enough to pack.
Perfect fit. Nice and light. Wish the color could have been more red as shown on the website. Turned out to be a burned red.

My go-to jacket
This is a great jacket. I have taken it everywhere with me. The thing that I find with many other down jackets is that they are not durable enough for the clumsy lifestyle that I have. The Helium fabric on the shoulders and hood is awesome! It especially sheds off rainy Seattle weather, but is also very durable. It is my favorite down jacket I have ever owned. I did need to size up for this one so that I could wear a fleece underneith it as well. If you wanted a more fitted look and feel I would keep with your normal jacket size.

Prefect cold hiking coat
Shoulder material works great with a pack. Very warm and comfortable even with hood on. Good fit over layers with suggested measurements from website. Fleece lined pockets are super. Doing great keeping a tough West Virginia winter with negative temps and harsh winds at bay.

Great Jacket for cold and slightly wet weather
This puffy is a perfect jacket for PNW winters. It keeps you warm and dry without having to wear a rain jacket. It's my go to jacket for middle of winter. I am 5'8", 165lbs and wear a size small.

Helium down hoody very comfortable
Love this jacket. It's my go to now. Holds off the drizzle. Could be a little bit longer.

My new go to jacket!
Love this jacket! Perfect for those cold and windy days. The hood and shoulder waterproof areas help in light rain.

Perfect for cold and humid Montreal winter temperature
Very pleased with the product. I'm 6'5" and 210 pds. XL size fits well to my body and also under my OR AscentShell jacket. Not to puffy. The length of the sleeves are perfect with my long arms. I live near Montreal, Quebec, where winter can be quite cold and humid. Bought the hoodie with the perspective of using it while taking a lunch break during a hike or at the end of a day-hike, but so far, mainly used it in day-to-day activities in and around town. The warmth and wind resistance do well the job so far. Looking forward to "stressed it" in harsher conditions.

Great Down Jacket
I wore this with a sweatshirt in 20 degree weather and was plenty warm! I like the water resistant shoulder material for the mostly light rain of Seattle

Best Hoodie Ever
This is without a doubt the best hoodie I have ever owned. I usually lean more to the synthetic insulated hoodies due to the damper conditions in Western Washington. However, it appears that the fabric used on this item will help to keep the down from losing its insulating properties. It also seems like this fabric will be able to take a lot of abuse. This hoodie is amazingly warm in addition to being incredibly light. Yet it still breaths really well during a lot of exertion. And what was my favorite hoodie before I purchased this one? The OR Men's Refuge which still looks like the day I purchased it!

Excellent manufacturing with disappointing use of materials
The Helium is a well-designed jacket that can be worn alone in the rain thanks to the use of waterproof material in the hood, shoulders and upper arms. Unfortunately, the amount of insulation is insignificant, so calling it an insulated jacket is a very strong claim on its properties. OR describes this jacket as medium warm, claiming this characteristic on the use of 800 down. This jacket would be the perfect jacket if OR would at least commit to put the amount of insulation used by any other competitor.
