The best rain jacket!!!

I have tried many rain jackets, and this one is the winner. My recommendation would be to add an internal pocket and make it packable.

best rain jacket for horseback riding

i outfit horses in the wilderness and the Foray is my favorite rain jacket. it not only keeps me dry but the side zips are critical for comfort in the saddle.

Foray II is a Great Jacket

I haven't put this jacket through all of its paces yet, but thus far this is working out to be the best backpacking rain jacket I've seen to date. Gortex is a trustable product, and the zips are amazing and innovative. I only have praise for this jacket and think it's worth the extra grams over some of the feather weight options. I can also say that OR is an excellent brand/company and they stand behind their products. Their Infinite Guarantee is no joke. A LOT of backpacking kit is made up of OR products.

Right in the right conditions so far!

I've lightly tested this jacket in the late winter/early spring rain in CA and the southwest. It has held up. I had a previous version of this jacket and for the weight, it comes in handy in the right conditions. I will be testing it this summer in the Cascades and other parts of WA!

Great light duty rain jacket

I own a half dozen rain jackets that I use for hiking and hunting, but they're all earth tones or camouflage. I wanted something that wouldn't stand out in the city or at the office. This jacket is comfortable, looks good, and is large enough to wear over a puffy if necessary. I usually opt for 3L over 2.5L hard shells in the backcountry unless I don't actually expect rain, but this seems fine for any type of rain I'd encounter in an urban setting because 1) I'm not going to tear it apart dragging it through vegetation, and 2) in the city I generally would not be outside in the rain long enough to worry about this wetting out. I'm happy with my purchase overall.

Men's Foray Jacket

Living in SE Alaska having quality lightweight raingear is a must. I wear Foray top and bottoms nearly every day.

Excellent jacket!

Excellent jacket, I love the side zippers to allow a poncho style rain jacket for when it's warm outside. Repels water very well. I just bought another jacket in a different color. I wear this jacket pretty much for all activities (walking, skiing, hiking, and biking). The hood is high enough to go over a ski or biking helmet, which is nice!

Wanted to really like this jacket.

Unfortunately, I was soaked through seams and zippers after just an hour of hard rain. Maybe it's designed more as an emergency jacket than something that can keep you dry all day. My expectations were high, I own dozens of OR gear. Very uncommon you all fall short. Maybe I have a defective jacket? I thought about returning it but I'm just not like that. Makes a great windbreaker!
