Ferocious in the Ferrosi.
Outdoor Research made its Women's Ferrosi Softshell Pant with lightweight, durable, and highly breathable fabric for extra comfort during your hiking and rock climbing adventures. Its low-profile waist fits smoothly under a harness, and its tricot waistband reduces chafing as you climb. The articulated knees bend and flex easier when you're scrambling on the approach or stretching for a difficult toe hold.
- Weather-resistant pants ideal for long approaches and alpine climbs
- Softshell fabric is breathable, stretchy, and water-resistant
- Smooth waistband practically eliminates chafing as you climb
- Articulated knees and inseam gusset promote mobility

- Q & A
I like these
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: 4
- Height: 5'5"
- Weight: 120lbs
i wore these on a three-hour flight, to set up base camp and on three subsequent days of day-hiking. I like them. The waist could be a bit more structured but a belt helps. Dirt brushes off so they stay pretty clean, and they're quick dry. Conditions were pretty windy for a couple days and I don't remember my legs being cold. They also don't take up much room in my bag, and they fit fine over hiking boots. I thought the length may be too long but no problem. Thumbs up.
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: 12/Reg
- Height: 5'6"
- Weight: 190lbs
I bought these over the winter and while they have a good stretch to them they run a little small. I couldn't fit anything in underneath them even a thin layer. Alone they aren't super warm and while stretchy isn't loose enough for me to do yoga or extra bending rock climbing. I like the shape for generally wearing and they are comfortable, but not quite what I had expected.

do these pants have a lining for warmth in colder temperatures?
No, they do not. Only a thin layer of nylon softshell material. Great for aerobic sports year round as you can layer under them as needed. I love these pants - the men's version that is!

Are you guys going to stock the men's version? I want the Ferrosi
Hey Brian...in my experience, inventory questions can sit idle on the item page forever. Click on the gray "Chat Now" box on the upper right of the screen. A customer service rep will have an answer for you immediately.
Hey Brian, The Ferrosi Pant has not been ordered, but the Ferrosi short has. Another option might be the Cirque Pant, a bit more bomber (double weave as opposed to a single weave soft shell construction) with scuff guards on the inner lower leg. Cool pant!
