Why We Like The Outdoor Research Ferrosi 7in Short

On both the approach and the send, the Outdoor Research Ferrosi 7in Short keeps us light and free. The stretchy material gives our hips full range for high steps, stems, and drop knees, as it wicks away moisture and dries off quick to keep us cool. With a soft lining and a low-profile internal drawcord, the waist sits comfortably under our pack or harness, while the 7-inch inseam minimizes chafe on long hikes and gives a comfy barrier between our skin and our harness's leg loops.

Love them but missing the zip side pocket

Love these short (have 3 of them) but missing the side zip pocket that used to be there. Waiting for this fix before I buy more.

my new fave shorts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] at 5'6" and 117 lbs size 2 fits perfectly. the 7" inseam is modest yet easy to move/hike in due to slight stretch of ferrosi fabric. tapenade is a beautiful, earthy color that goes with so much.

Best Women's Hiking Short

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my 2nd pair of Ferrosi Shorts with the 7" inseam. I love that they don't ride up or cause chaffing like shorter running shorts do. They dry so quickly which is so needed with how much I sweat. Pockets are perfect. I like that their is one zipper pocket which is great when I'm traveling and trying to prevent myself from being pickpocketed.

Love the weight of the fabric!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in the country on the Big Island of Hawaii where the weather and climate change dramatically when you travel up the nearby mountains where it's cooler and rainy or go a few miles down the coast where the temps are hot and the terrain is dusty. For these reasons need clothes that can be comfortable, cool, lightweight, and quick drying all day so I don't have to worry about changing clothes during the day. The Ferrosi shorts are warm enough for cool morning dog walks and stay comfortably cool as the day quickly heats up while I do my chores. Then, at the end of the day still loving the feel of the shorts as I take a hike down the nearby trails. The 7 inch length is stylish enough for laid-back dinners in town, too. I look forward to adding more colors to my wardrobe.

These shorts are great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the fit, fabric, style and length. I wear them to mountain bike, hike and for every day. Appreciate pockets- zippered on back, open on the front. This is my 2nd pair and highly recommend them. 5'3, 132 lb, very active 65 years young!

Great shorts for all your outdoor adventures

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are comfortable, durable, functional and well suited for for just about everything. If you're between sizes, I'd maybe size up as they run a bit small.

Just Right

A flattering length, not too long, not too short. Clean design. Can go from a daily walk to the golf course or fruit market. Obviously hiking and kayaking. I'm 5'10", 140 lbs and fit into an 8. The waist is snug but drapes beautifully around the legs and tush. I ordered a second pair.

Great shorts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do wish these shorts has the zip pocket as they did in the past. But I love these shorts. They are comfortable and flattering.
