Your Outdoor Research Men's Ferrosi Pants aren't going to flash that route for you, but they will make your day at the crag all the more comfortable. These softshells sport a wind- and water-resistant synthetic construction, with a comfortable stretch and articulated knees that let you move freely on the wall. Outdoor Research stuck a zippered pocket on the thigh for easy access when you're wearing a harness, and the lightweight construction feels breathable on warm days but protects you enough for windy spring climbs.

    • Tough softshell pants for climbing at the crag or in the alpine
    • Nylon and spandex material dries quickly and stretches
    • Wind- and water-resistant design protects against light weather
    • Articulated knees let you move freely
    • Zippered thigh pocket for easy access with a harness

    Another win for OR

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 36X30
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 200lbs

If you’re like me, and value comfort, function and style, then these pants are for you. It’s awesome to be able
To go to the office, present at meetings, and then do a 10 mile trail to my campsite in the Ozarks all in the same day and without changing pants! Need another pair. I did have to return the pair that I originally bought in my normal size (36Wx32L) as the length was at least 4” too long. As usual, BC made that a totally painless process.

    Nice lightweight softshell pant

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 34x32
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 192lbs

Nice lightweight softshell for warmer weather when you need a long pant for some abrasion protection. Total freedom of movement. Have used summer bush whacking in the northeast and were perfect. Plan to also use on my property doing yard work when I need to cover up for tick protection. Bought a second pair. Also own the OR Prusik pant which are nice but intermediate thickness fabric.

    Strange front pockets

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Size Bought: 30 x 32
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 145lbs

I had read reviews and down research on the pants, though the front pockets were too shallow for traveling and putting materials in that I needed. The pants are well designed and the material is great. If you don't mind small front pockets, then you could get these pants.

    Sizing Runs Small

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 32x32
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 185lbs

I read all the reviews before buying this product, most people said that these run on the larger size which is not true at all. I normally wear a 32x32, I'm 6' 185 lbs and I would recommend anyone getting these to go bigger. I will be purchasing the 34x32 when these get returned, other than that the pants seem very comfortable even though they were tight around my waist.

In my experience, they run a size large, like others have described. I teeter been 33-34 on waist sizes for these type of pants. I ordered a 34 in these, and the will require a belt to keep from sagging.

    Poor Sizing

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: 38x32
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 195lbs

Info said there were a 32 inseam. More like a 34 or 35. Supposed to be tough soft shell pants. Pretty flimsy and lightweight. Didn't get to try them out as they were way too long.

    Great Outdoors wear

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 30x30
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 155lbs

Used them for a couple cooler nights fishing/camping and they definitely keep you warm when you need it. Durability is yet to be determined, but I think these will hold up like the brand. Will add another pair after a couple weeks of abuse. Thanks Backcountry!

pls lft me know the size of inseam for waist36.

We are out of the 30" inseam in the size 36. We still have a 32" inseam with a 36 waist.
