Great all around jacket

I used this jacket for an 11 day trip climbing Denali. It was the perfect layer to keep you warm while moving on the glaciers and fight off the chill. Even wore it on the summit day as an outer layer. The only thing I noticed is the jacket material started to pile up where my pack was sitting. Over all a great jacket with the right amount of stretch. I am 5'6 150lbs and the small is a perfect fit. I have a 6' wing span and the sleeve length is perfect. I have another Ferosi in a medium and it drowns me.

Ferrosi is the best general purpose outdoor wear

I use this jacket nearly everyday, fits me very well. The material is much more durable than I had expected. This is my second Ferrosi jacket.

Not what it used to be..

I've use the same ferrosi hoodie for the last five years and decided the recent sale was a good time to order a new one. When this new hoodie arrived, my first reaction was disappointment. The overall feel of this seems like a decline in quality. Gone are the elastic cuffs with finger holes and the hood adjustment in the front. The material doesn't feel as rugged either. Sadly, I returned this and will continue with my worn out hoodie.

Good against wind and rain

On top of everything, also very packable. When it started raining I put on the hood and it was as if there was no rain.

Awesome versatile jacket

Awesome jacket that can be used in almost any condition. Super lightweight so I can always pack it no matter where I go. Fits great and true to size. Build quality is good, looks nice as well.

Highly acclaimed (for good reason!)

This jacket comes highly acclaimed by many online gear review sites and gets tons of great customer reviews. I was still skeptical but was looking for a great late Spring / early Fall piece. Great fit and style. No bo (I wear this everyday), good style and perfect features. Good pocket placement too. Time will tell how durable it is but so far so good!

Great fit and blocks the wind

I read so much about this lineup and had to try the jacket. Very lightweight and stretchy, but what I was pleasantly surprised by was its ability to block wind. This is already a favorite of mine.

Great for light activity or layering

Living in the PNW, Outdoor Research is my go to for jackets. The ferrosi is a great build, nice and lightweight and does well in the cold. It does alright in the wind and light rain with decent thermal protection.

Not what I thought this was... it *just* blocks wind & rain

For a product that is called a "hoodie" and the product description says it's a 2 out of 4 on "warmth" it literally does nothing to keep you warm other than block some wind and keep you dry. The only reason I didn't send it back was because it is otherwise *perfect* for my needs! It does an amazing job keeping me dry, I went for a 20 minute walk in a decent drizzle and not a drop was even on the hoodie when I got home. The hood actually fits me fairly well (most of the hoodies I have tried in XL are designed for Big Bird I guess, I put the hood up and the front flops down so far it touches my chin!), it's sized pretty well, the pockets are EXACTLY what I was looking for, the stretch is nice, it looks good, it has a nice, snug fit but not too snug around the waist... it truly is perfect in every way other than have zero insulation at all. The one change I would make, is that there is a drawcord in the waist to cinch it up, and the loop is on the right side. This should be moved to the left side, so that it does not interfere with right-handed people accessing EDC kit on their waist or in their pockets. I was looking for something that would actually keep me warm, be snugly, be my "one piece of outerwear" unless I needed a real jacket. Something I could wear from 25 or so through 50, like I do with a true cotton hoodie, just with better pockets and water resistance. Unfortunately, this is just not that piece of gear, unless I wear a sweatshirt underneath it. If OR makes something exactly like this, but with insulation (I think the Vigor fleece may be it), I'll gladly buy it. I'm keeping this, because honestly it does a great job for what it does, and I can throw it in the car without taking much room as a "just in case". But not having the insulation means I am back on the hunt for that nice, comfy thing to throw over anything casual and do everthing from go for a walk to lounge around the house on a chilly day. Love the Ferrosi Hoodie

It is a great shell for thr PNW. Works well most of the year with layering. Handles light precipitation well. I accidentally left my first one at a restaurant so I ordered another to replace it and now have 2.
