    Down Baja Pullover Jacket

The Down Baja Pullover Jacket touts all the same features as Outdoor Research's technical down jackets, like the 800-fill down insulation, except stylish stitching and an anorak style provide a casual style. Its 800-fill down insulation is surprisingly warm for how little it weighs, and it's so compressible that the jacket packs into its own pocket. The light, durble ripstop shell is water- and wind-resistant to shed snowflakes and brisk breezes.
    • Outdoor Research's technical down jacket styled casually
    • 800-fill down insulation is warm, light, and packable
    • Ripstop shell is water- and wind-resistant
    • Elastic cuffs and adjustments at hood and hem seal out cold
    • Left hand pocket doubles as stuff sack for compact convenience

    My husband is in love!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: large
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 160lbs

I bought the Down Baja Pullover as a surprise for my husband after he was so awesome, helpful and supportive of me after I broke my leg skiing this winter. He absolutely loves it. Fit is spot on and super comfy! He wears it when its chilly mountain biking so far and it works perfect!

    Narrow shoulders, long arms

    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: medium
    • Height: 58'
    • Weight: 165lbs

I wear a medium in everything...except this. The shoulders are narrow and the arms are too long. Other than that, it would be a great jacket.

    Great light weight puffy

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: l
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 175lbs

cant lie I thought the coloring would be a pattern from the photo ( was hoping for something similar in pattern but modern to the Drug rug pullovers loved for the beaches of baja)

hopes aside the look of this pull over puffy is still killer. Its surprisingly warm for how light it is. Nearly as warm as my OR transcendent hoody when layered with a shell to help stop the wind. This has quickly become my go to hoody for day to day wear. My go to grab for around camp or when i'm belaying on a chilly day. Its durable but its not something to bush wack in.

I'm 6'2 175lbs the Large fits great even my gorilla length arms.

    the cons-

the elastic sleeve holes are slightly big and don't close around my wrist well allowing for air drafts

the hood only has side adjustments , not allowing you to adjust the fit as well.

if they added more elastic to the sleeves for better closure and a second adjustment to the hoody this would be a 5/5

still a must for the arsenal.

    Comfy

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 165lbs

Not as thick as I would have initially expected for a down jacket, but the trade-off is it breathes really well as a mid-layer. With a proper shell over this, toastiest I've ever been on the slopes short of wearing a 700-fill down. Durable enough, but not sure if I'd feel comfortable brushing up on tree branches or anything.

Justin - this is more of a sweater layer than an outer wear piece. Definitely not made for tree abuse! It's important to have different thicknesses of down layers so you can pick the right one for the right day. You can check off the "lightweight down layer" box with this one!

    Sweet!

I thought this thing looked ridiculous as first, but then tried it on and wow! It is awesome. Looks nice and is super practical!

    New, Different, Better!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 160lbs

The down jacket world is full of so many different quality jackets, and most of them look almost identical to each other. The Baja breaks the mold with its pullover anorak fit and unique baffling pattern bringing something new and fresh to a relatively stale section of the outdoor gear world. The fit and function is up to the great standard i have come to love and expect from OR.

    • Height: 5'2"

Super warm, can't wait to use this thing in the winter. Took a trip up north and wore this as a daily jacket. Love the thing, and I'm not surprised considering it's from ODR. Not a huge fan off the logo, but I'll let that slide.

    Anorak

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: L
    • Height: 6'0"

Anoraks are a thing. You want one, but dont know how to wear it, right? This one makes it easy, side entry zip, medium insulation, and a nice relaxed but not massive fit. Best for coffee and cool mornings.
