    Great shirt

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 175lbs

Great flannel, that was a little thicker than I expected. It's not overly thick, but it did surprise me. It fits me well, is stylish, and has a good cut. I like how the bottom of the shirt had a little thought involved in it's design, as I am not one to tuck in my shirts. The bottom cut isn't a straight cut, but it isn't quit rounded out like a typical tuck in shirt is. The only issue that I could mention, is I needed a large to fit my chest and shoulders, but the arm length is just a touch longer than I'd prefer. But really that's a pretty minor gripe, and I would buy the same one again in the future.

    Right for fall

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

    Height: 6'3" Weight: 186 lbs.

Outdoor Research basically took the liner from one of their jackets and made it a stand-alone flannel. The jacket was comfy, so I snatched this thing up as soon as I saw it.
It's a perfect weight for a crisp day, doing chores outside, or hanging out around the house.
Pros: Comfort / soft, well made, warm. The sleeves on a large were long enough for me! The color schemes are also well thought out and go with anything.

    The Ultimate in Dude Apparel

Ah, the ubiquitous flannel shirt: the pinnacle of dude wear. Any guy worth his salt has a few of these hanging in the closet, ready to answer the call when adventure beckons. Oh sure, you've got your Gore-Tex shell and your down puffy, but sometimes you just gotta go with the classics.

The Outdoor Research Crony shirt is pretty much everything you want a flannel shirt to be: Warm, comfortable, but most importantly, plaid. It's not lined, but it'll keep you warm in cooler temps down into the 40's. On top of that, it feels solidly built, and you can chalk that up to OR's Infinite Guarantee(TM). This sucker is built to last, like everything else they make. So, if you're ever wearing this shirt and get mauled by a grizzly bear while chopping wood, you're covered. Okay, I don't know if grizzly bear maulings are covered, but the point is it's built to last and OR will take care of you if you're not happy with it.

While I wanted to give this shirt 5 stars, a couple of minor things held me back. First, the sizing seems a bit small. I normally wear a large in button-up shirts, but I ended up going a size bigger in this case. Cotton flannel will shrink a bit, and that was the case here, so in the end the shirt fit like most of my other ones do. Secondly, the cuff buttons are in kind of a weird spot so they tend to make the cuff opening huge, so the sleeve ends up around my knuckles. Fortunately, I have some sewing skills and was able to adjust the button to a better spot. (I highly recommend the sewing skill, it will come in handy for suturing wounds from the grizzly bear mauling.)

Overall, this is a fine shirt to add to your flannel collection, and the fact it's made by OR you know you're getting a quality product. So get out there and get one already.
