Looks GREAT
I have only had a chance to try (since the weather is still warm) it on but fits great and looks fantastic

Perfect for a Melbourne winter
I bought this to replace an old mountain parka that just wasn't cutting it for frosty morning walks with my border collie. Showerproof, light, very warm, and perfectly sized for me (6'3" - XL), it's an ideal around-town down jacket.

Great Mountain Jacket
Was looking for a down Jacket for a high mountain scouting for elk and deer, we were experiencing light precipitation and temperature was around 28 degrees to 55 degrees with some decent swings, this jacket performed perfectly.

Great ventilation
The side vents are the best feature of this jacket. The hood fit is one of the best that I have encountered. The two way zipper is another feature that is hard to find on similar jackets.

The Transcendent for rain
This jacket is very similar to the Transcendent. A fairly basic, no frills, middle weight puffy that fits great and keeps you warm. The blacktail adds a bit more down fill (700 vs the Transcendent's 650), but the best part about this jacket is the outer layer of water resistant material. All the warmth of a puffy, without all the downsides of getting it wet! The inside of the jacket is a soft material that also feels water resistant. There's one interior zippered pocket, and two for your hands. The neck gaiter comes up pretty high, and the hood has a bill to deflect rain. This is not an OR jacket that stuffs into its own pocket, a feature I find quite useul. The jacket is obviously too bulky. The great fit and function of the Transcendent, now with rain protection!

Really solid jacket
Pleasantly surprised. I thought I was ordering yet another puffy to add to my collection but I didn't read it all but I love it because it is like a light to mid level insulated puffy built into a rain jacket. Not ultralight by any means but really seems durable. Packs okayish. Haven't tried it in a compression sack but with its multi functionality it has its special time and place in my gear and adventure time.

Super warm and looks great!
I got this jacket towards the end of the cooler season, but did have an opportunity to wear it a few times and I really enjoy this jacket. First, I really like the style and colors of the jacket. It has a very classic look. Second, I like how durable the outer material feels; it makes me feel like I can take this jacket to do more than just wear about town. Third, the jacket is so soft inside and has some nice fleece on the back of the neck and that seems to keep the wind gusts from drafting down my back when the hood is in use. Fourth, the hood helps keep the warmth in really well. It's a nice thick hood and it stayed on during the wind gusts that I encountered. One minor draw back is the outer shell material is durable but that means it does feel a little rough. I am sure this will soften a bit with time or after maybe a wash with some Nikwax down wash. All in all I am really happy with this jacket and I can see years of use coming out of this jacket.
