This was my first OR product of any kind and I'm impressed! This is such a nice shirt. I've had multiple complements on it. I really like the snaps and the way it fits. The material is light and cooling. I'm 5'10 and weigh 205. I bought the XL based on the reviews I read. It fits me just the way I like...roomy without looking baggy.

I cannot fully speak about performance, although I will know in a couple weeks. I can say this shirt looks great and feels great. The biggest thing for me beyond these is performance, particularly regarding UPF. I will know soon.

My boyfriend lives in this long-sleeve shirt. For someone who is always up and moving around this has become something he relies on. He sweats a ton and I never hear any complaints when he is wearing this shirt because it is very breathable. Here's a photo taken in Vietnam where it is 80-90% humidity. My boyfriend said, "I wish I would've bought enough of these shirts to wear everyday." I think I can successfully say this was a good purchase!

So light, comfortable, and breathable! I've had one for a couple months and I don't think I'm gonna stop there. Might get one or two more. Here are the things I love 1) The style: I get so many compliments on this shirt! 2) Comfort: I've never overheated in this shirt and it's protected me in the hot Utah sun from possible sunburns. I'd wear it everyday if I could. Yoga, climbing, hiking, office, always perfect. I'm also a fan of the quick drying fabric. There are some interesting features like the chest pocket and a collar that can fold into itself to fully cover the neck. I've never felt the need to use either of these things though. I normally wear a small or a medium depending on the brand/model. I'm a small in this shirt.

Great looking shirt that is super comfortable. It is nice enough yo wear to the office. I am 5'10 215 with an athletic build and bought an XL & XXL. The XL was the size I kept. The XXL fit but was baggy in the body and the XL it like a glove.

A couple weeks ago Leta, our stellar rep from Outdoor Research stopped by the office to hold a clinic about their new apparel and accessories for this year. She brought a sample of the Astroman shirt for us to see and I ordered one right after the clinic. The material feels so nice next-to-skin and it is very light and breathable. Leta told us the idea for this shirt came from one of their trad climbing athletes as he wanted a long-sleeve shirt that would be breathable, moisture wicking, and provide UPF protection from the Sun. Debut: The Astroman. One really nice feature on this shirt is the collar can be flipped up, creating a 360 degree covering for your neck. It's a great built-in feature that can come in handy whether you're climbing a long route in the afternoon Sun or getting in a quick hike after work. I've worn the shirt in 75 degree weather, hiking around Portland and it felt great. The fit of the Large on me is just slightly loose, but this helps with breathability so I opted for that fit. I'll be picking up one of the short-sleeve versions as well, I think it would make for a great shirt for the summer as well. Let me know if you have any questions at all : )

Great shirt for Mtn Biking

I bought the Astroman as a sun blocking mountain biking shirt and it has performed wonderfully. The material is light, seems durable and has a nice amount of stretch to it so it doesn't feel binding under a pack. I haven't worn it in really warm temps for biking, just around mid 60's or so, but I think it'll do fine for the hotter summer days especially riding in the mountains around Jackson and Lander. I have also sport climbed in the short sleeve version and it was really nice on the warmer days in Sinks. I'm a barrel chested kind of guy with broad shoulders and the large fits perfectly with plenty of mobility.

Love this shirt; wore it on a 4 day backpacking trip, it was super comfortable and still looked good enough to wear to town for post-hike beers.

Sun Protection That Looks Good

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Looks great and fits greats. Keeps the sun off your skin. Even has a cool/dorky collar that snaps close for when you're in the middle of your multi-pitch climb and waiting for your partner to finish his lead and the sun is cooking your neck. I've worn this thing climbing, backpacking, fly-fishing and to the bar after all of it. Plus the buttons are snaps so you can feel really cool/sexy when you want to bust out of it like a Chippendale peformer

This shirt is amazing! It drys fast and keeps you cool in the hot summer heat. The collar feature is nice but my big neck makes it a little less comfortable than it should be. regardless, I love the shirt. I use it mostly for backpacking and climbing. It's extremely lightweight and dries incredibly fast.
