Go-to Shorts

Light, good looking shorts perfect for athletic movement, everyday use, or hiking (they can double as swim shorts if needed!) Not tear resistant, so not ideal for activities that could rub against or tear at them, great for anything else.

Can't stop wearing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't seem to stop wearing these shorts during this oppressively hot, Louisiana summer. I'm 5'10, 190lbs and 7 inch inseam shows a little thigh but not too much. Keep in mind there are no back pockets so carrying a wallet, keys, phone, etc. in two front pockets is a little annoying but I don't think the shorts would be as lightweight and comfortable with the pockets.

The perfect short

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shorts feel amazing to wear and are extremely comfortable. They are very light and feel great while working out of hiking.

Best shorts for everyday use

Very comfortable, lightweight but with more rugged Ferrosi fabric on the back side. Very useful pockets. Perfect for everyday use and I have multiples of black, gray and blue. I don't love the green, but it would be great to have these in other colors. Sand/khaki or something bright. I have them in men's and women's and find the men's to be more practical for every day wear.

The everything shorts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I do absolutely everything in these shorts; relaxing to exercising and everything in between. Superior comfort mixed with durability. What could be better? Maybe a pair of Astro shorts for every day of the week!

Pretty good

Very comfortable and great length for those who like short shorts. I like that the legs are slightly tapered although that does add a very slight bit of resistance. However the material is incredibly light and has great flexibility so that kind of counteracts that. They do seem like they might wear out quickly bc they're so light but that remains to be seen. The drawstring is way too soft. It seems like the best way to tighten it to pull each string away from the center which is awkward, and just make a bow, no square knot. If you draw and tie it normally the strings will knot into an incredibly tiny knot that it's very difficult to untie. OR makes top notch hats and gloves. I've tried some shorts and a pair of pants and am pleased but they are not yet at the same level ad the gloves and hats.

Great workout shorts

Very comfortable lightweight shorts, and like the Astro pants - I like the dual fabrics . Not the longest, but I like the shorter length for working out and they're not super short running shorts. The only downside for me is that unlike the Astro pants they don't have any back pocket, zippered or otherwise. In the pants that's where I put my phone when I'm walking around. It is too big to zip in the pants, but it doesn't fit in the shorts side or small zip thigh pocket nearly as well. The side pockets are sewn in place all around the edges instead of 'floating' on the seam like in the pants. That makes my phone sticks out more and when I sit it either falls out or gets hung up. The lighter smooth fabric starts to pill eventually. I recommend these but a slight re-design would make them great.

5 stars but too short for me

If you like the Astro pants you'll love the shorts. Very light and comfortable with a good amount of stretch. The two materials work just the same as the pants and I'd expect the shorts to be very durable. BONUS, the shorts have a regular drawstring (two cords) instead of the impossible single drawstring thing the pants have. My only problem with them is that they are a little too short for my taste (about 3 1/2" short of my knee). An extra couple of inches and they'd be perfect! If you're reading this OR, please make a 9" or 10" inseam!
