thin and the large is still really tight
So this is fine if you have a small head/neck and live in a climate with a mild winter. It's really thin and I'm just an average person. No one has ever said I have a large head or neck and the 'large' is tight. It's not great. I can't imagine how small the regular size is, yikes. I like outdoor research gear for many years, just not this neck tube. Not for the Canadian winters. I kind of regret buying 2 but the sale got me hooked. The 2 layer icebreaker is a better bet for sure.

Warm & Lightweight
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Waiting for cooler weather to try it, but feels like it will be great: warm & lightweight, love the blue camo. Not as big as my other merino gaiters from another company, but that's also a good thing.

Veristile and durable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically use this on top of a cap when I'm ski touring. Makes it pretty easy to regulate the heat coming off my head. It's been durable and is an easy item to throw in a pocket or backpack when I'm not sure what the temperatures are going to do.

Adaptable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A bit thinner and more coarse than expected. A wash or two might soften it up. It's long and provides many wearing options. It'll be very adaptable in a wide range of conditions and temps, but it's not soft or plush, if that's what you're expecting.

Nice fitting gaiter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sizing and fabric are excellent. It fits well on the face - not too tight to restrict breathing, yet not too loose to risk it falling off.

This tube does it all
I use this everywhere I go. It's a great neck warmer, and if I'm outside in colder temps I can easily pull it over the back of my head to cover my ears and cheeks. I pull it up in front to use as a face covering and I have all the benefits of merino wool! This one does it all

Warm and versitile
I like using the merino blend products as face coverings as they don't trap moisture like many masks or other neck gaiters. I use this for skiing, and biking in cold weather because it is lightweight and versatile.
