Ultralight Toiletry Kit

The need for a toiletry bag is deeply embedded into any devout traveler, but the desire for lighter luggage often seems like an afterthought. Sure, the Ultralight Toiletry Kit may weight a few grams less than the combination, but once you delve into Osprey's entire Ultralight collection, you should be able to make it through terminals a little lighter on your feet, and that makes up the difference between looking like a sweaty nightmare on the plane and looking fresh and ready for landing.

Not for backpacking

I was looking for a lightweight toiletry, first aid and ditty bag organizer. When I searched travel organizers and filter for backpacking this was the first thing that popped up. Osprey claims to be an ultralight toiletry kit. By design it's anything but. The first thing that hit me was the great big steel hook to hang it with, this was way overkill a simple loop would've sufficed and not the handle. I don't know where that came up with the dimensions but the actual size is 9 x 13 x 3. Claimed weight is 3 ounces actual weight is 4.9 ounces. When looking for ultralight stuff gear ounces do count that's the difference between lightweight and ultralight. The one thing osprey claimed that was true, it is padded and has stiff support systems to help hold it shape but this was overkill and not needed for ultralight. I don't need padding to store my oral care, first aid, clothing ,tent and sleeping bag repair kit and power cords. I do like all the pockets, I usually dedicate one pocket to store my deuce of spades, bidet hand soap and bug repellent.
