Carry gear and water in lightweight comfort with this top-loader for long days outdoors.

Navigate through a labyrinth of trees, hop in your canoe, paddle into a slot canyon and then climb your way out to get to the finish line. Whether you're in the middle of an adventure race, or just working your way through a typical weekend day, the Osprey Talon 18 Daypack is an excellent lightweight carrier for your gear and water along the way. This top-loading backpack holds up to twenty pounds of gear, while its mesh-padded shoulder straps and hip-belt wrap you in breathable, cushioned comfort. The hip-belt's ErgoPull adjustment makes it easy to tighten or loosen on the fly, and the shoulder and sternum straps can also be adjusted for a perfect fit tailored to your load. The ventilating ridged foam back panel keeps you fresh through long day hikes or multi-sport excursions.

Loop and bungee attachments hold tools and trekking poles, and multiple smaller pockets hold items you'd like to quickly access. Control the volume of your load with side compression straps, and use the straps to hold additional items. The top lid protects gear in the main compartment, and the rugged nylon fabric stands up to the abuse that long days outdoors throw at it.

    Perfect daypack

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This pack is so comfortable for day hikes whether you're going near or far. The back panel provides that special touch of comfort you want when the trail is rigorous. It holds enough water and food for two, as well as a few layers just in case it gets cold out.

    Great Everyday Pack

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a great backpack to throw your stuff in and go. I can fit a small computer or my camera, a sweatshirt and a rain jacket and a headlamp as well as some snacks and a small water bottle. Great for travel when you need to carry more than what you can hold in your pockets. I'm not in love with the bungee on the lid of this pack. It's more annoying than useful when the pack isn't full but I still think it's the best choice for what I bought it for.

    all the way

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I do ultra light back packing and trail running in AK. This bag comes in hand for my weekend trips. Camping, hiking, trail running, i can easily fit my sleeping set up, food and water in this bag. I extend the head strap to fit my sleeping bag on the outside so i have plenty of room for my blow up pad, rain jacket, ultra light tent, and insulation jacket/clothing in the bag.

this pack is extremely versatile, and has a spot for my trekking poles , which comfortably stows away under my arms to the side of my body when hiking or running the flats.

would recommend any size bigger or smaller depending on what your use is for it.

the video might be helpful, or aligns with my philosophy of a backpack.

Does this pack fit women? I'm 5.2, 102 lbs.

It does! Generally you want to go off of torso length and not height for pack sizing, but at 5'2'' it's probably safe to say that you'll be better off with the S/M. Let me know if you have any other questions-- I'd be glad to help!
