Best Suitcase I have owned
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I purchased this as a regular suitcase for work travel (70-80% of the year). I just got sick of having to buy a new suitcase once or twice a year and wanted something that would last. So far, this bag has far exceeded my expectations. It does a great job of fitting everything I need and has held up very well. The ground clearance from the wheels make it very easy to maneuver on escalators around the airports and such. The only thing I would change on the bag is, I would add an inch or two of travel to the telescoping handle. I have long legs and sometimes I trip on the suitcase. No big deal I just have to change how I hold it. The quality of this bag is very good and I have no doubts it will last me for many years.
Swallows my gear!
The Osprey Shuttle has been so key to me travelling with lots of gear and samples. I really don't know what I would do with out it. The wheels and handle operate really smoothly, and the additional pockets are a real plus!

Does this duffle have stowable backpack straps on it?
This particular bag doesn't have backpack straps. If you want both wheels and a backpack carry option in a high volume bag, your best bet would be the Osprey Sojourn 80L. You could also try the Transporter 130 if you don't need wheels.
