    From tadpole to frog.

In years to come, your tadpole-turned-frog may not recall what exactly inspired them to take up backpacking so passionately that they'd solo hike the AT by the time they're 19, but they will remember the sound and the sensation of being carried in the Osprey Poco AG Plus 26L Kid Carrier. Built to last, the Poco AG Plus caters to all-around fun with its adaptability and overall comfort.

Equipped with the same suspension as Osprey's famed Atmos and Aura AG, the Poco AG Plus is crafted with a lightweight yet durable Anti-Gravity Suspension back panel that ensures a comfortable ride for both the carrier and the carried, while the Anti-Gravity AirSpeed Backpanel encourages ample ventilation with its 3D tensioned mesh and conforming construction. In addition to an adjustable fit, ventilation, and plenty of padding for you, the Poco AG Plus includes a fully framed and padded cockpit to keep you little one comfortable. The built-in sunshade, butterfly harness, adjustable child seat (complete with safety leg loops), and adjustable and removable stirrups further contribute to the comfort of your favorite hiking partner.

    • Take your little tyke hiking with this secure kid carrier

My wife and I got this bag for one of our family members that just had a kid and they were blown away. This thing is packed full of gadgets to make hiking with a kid much easier. The stirrup straps keep your kid from judo kicking you in the ribs every step. There is a sun canopy that pops out of nowhere and helps to keep your kid cool in even the hottest of conditions. The people at Osprey even thought to put a mirror in the hip belt so you can check on your kid without having to take your pack off. Seriously, these people think of everything!

Please note, I love this thing and I don't even have a kid!

    Excellent!

I would totally recommend this backpack to any parent! My 8 month old has a blast when I take him hiking in this. Doesn’t fuss or anything. Just hangs out and loves looking at nature!

My 3 1/3 year old is close to aging out of this, and I am sad! He loves it so much, but he also likes running around! At least with the Poco, he is contained! Happy Trails, Melissa, and thank you for the review.

    Must have

    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 170lbs

This is a must have if you want to go hiking around with small children. It's just really nice to be able to hike them around with a comfortable pack on. I wish it had a little more room in it for storage, but it makes for a nice day pack.

    Packing with the Babe

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I ordered this pack as a gift for my sister to pack around her fresh babes. She says that this pack is very comfortable, breathable, and ergonomic for both her and baby. and that the design for the sun shade is great (packable, durable and doesn’t get in babies way).

Pack up the kiddos, on and off trail!

I bought this for a family member to use with their 16 month old - and have heard nothing but rave reviews. They tell me that it's great to get rid of the stroller for walks in the city. Additionally, not sure if my family is the outlier - but when the kid gets fussy and wants to be held - they'll plop him in the carrier and continue doing household chores. Hey, if it works, it works!

    Babies gettin babied

I purchased this as a gift and it was certainly a great decision on my part. (For sure tooting my own horn) He was pleased with all of the features and pockets and straps and zippers and support and breathable material so BIG THUMBS UP.

      An Investment You Won't Regret

I can't say enough about this pack - from fit to function, every feature has been well thought out and designed with comfort in mind. It makes long hikes possible - and the kiddo loves it so much she even tries to climb into the pack on her own whenever I bring it out. The torso adjustment is great as well - both my wife and I can adjust the pack to our own perfect fit, and the sunshade (the biggest selling point for me) provides full coverage even when walking into the direction of the sun.

Picked up this bad boy for the new baby cousin! Wanted a kid carrier that not only was comfortable to wear but also had the adequate storage for day hikes, not to mention keeping the youngster comfortable. Ya cant really go wrong with any Osprey bag that incorporates the AG system and is really why i ended up going with this specific bag. The Anti Gravity suspension system in their bag just grabs you so tight and really moves well with your body whilst hiking.

      Best splurge yet.

Perfect bag for any parent who loves to be outdoors with their kids, My son just turned 1 and he LOVES this bag. When he sees it in the corner he will find a way over to it and yell at me because he wants to go in it.

Its comfortable to wear and apparently is comfortable for my kids. The features are amazing and super easy to use. The pull out sun shade is fantastic, however, the zipper stinks on this part. It gets hung up very easily.

In general the pack is extremely comfortable other than the straps. You will probably need to wear a normal shirt when using this because the texture and material of the straps kill your shoulders. I like to wear tanks or go shirtless and I would not recommend that with this bag at all.

Anyway, so far, this has been one of the best purchases for our new addition. We use it at parties, for working in the garden, and on normal hikes. Great job Osprey! Much appreciated.

      Best splurge yet.

      Great pack

Baby loved being in this carrier. He was very comfortable and fell asleep during his first hike!
Carrier has a lot of adjustments to it, makes it very easy to load baby in. Since he's only 8 weeks old, we rolled up a small blanket to sit under the baby to make him sit up a little higher. Also comes with a nice sun canopy to help keep cover. Love this carrier, can't wait for more adventures and hikes in it!

      We all love this backpack!

I researched a lot of child carriers before settling on the osprey brand and went with this model for the extra storage room. We started using this backpack when my son was about 5 1/2 months... before he was sitting up unassisted and he was well supported in this pack. My son loves riding in this and it is very light and comfortable to carry. We consider it our best baby purchase!

      Great for big guys.

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I am a big guy, big shoulder and chest and have a hard time finding "one size" packs to fit me. This one fits well in the chest and shoulder and torso length is adequate. My only complaint is the hip belt padding does not wrap my waist enough to stay up where it needs to be on my hips. As a result I have to readjust it from time to time but it is worth it for the freedom I get from having it.

      Great for big guys.

Great child carrier with one issue

My 13mo daughter loves being in this pack while we hike. She always fall asleep about an hour after we start hiking. Pro: love the shoulder support and overall quality. A sturdy pack. Con: The hip belt is hard and we are still using it hoping it will be "soft" soon. I've read reviews saying the hip belt is only an issue for 2016 model. Can't speak for other model because this our first one. Glad we bought this!

Are all of theses packs manufactured after November of 2016? I really want to love this pack, but hate the hip belt. I am hoping to try one that has the added foam but can't find a recent model to test it out.

Hey Cindy, the hipbelt on this model has not changed, but do you know that is can elongate? I have not heard the issue of not enough foam before, so just wanted to make sure that you know it does extend.

        Thanks,

Does anyone have an issue with the bottom of the hip belt digging into your hip? I felt along the bottom edge and there is a very hard ridge, like hard plastic that is killing me (and my wife). The top edge of the hip belt is just over one inch above the top of my iliac crest. Should I be wearing it even higher? Did I get a bad bag? If it makes a difference, our daughter is 19 lbs, and she was the only thing in the bag. Any advice or suggestions would be welcomed, don't want to return the bag, but as it is, it is unusable.

Hey Eli, sorry to hear about this. I've got some additional questions that might help me diagnose the problem if you'd like to email me when you have a chance. It may be that you're wearing the hip belt too high. The pads should line up with your hip bone. Please email me at isaukerson@backcountry.com when you have a moment and if we can't get it figured out we can set up an exchange.

Eli, Ian can help make sure that you have the pack in the right place. What you want is for the middle of the hip belt to be covering the crest of your hip bone on the side of your body.

We have had this "AG" design for a year or more now, and we have had no issues, so I am wondering if it's just in the wrong place for you.

Ian, thank you for helping. Please reach out to me if there is something I can do.
