    Ozone Duplex 60L Backpack

One harness, two packs. The Osprey Women's Ozone Duplex 60L Backpack is a traveler's dream. It combines a casual, carry-on daypack with a larger cargo bag that attach together when you're walking through the terminal, and separate when it's time to check in the cargo bag. This backpack's harness has a women-specific fit with a sturdy LightWire suspension and padded mesh at the shoulders straps, back, and waist. The daypack keeps your essentials safe with a hidden pocket sized for passports, tickets, wallets, phones, and other valuables, while the cargo bag stores clothing and liquids; the liquids pocket is easy to access for TSA.

    My favorite pack ever!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I absolutely love this Osprey pack! I've always been a fan of the Osprey company and wanted one of their backpacks for travel and I'm so excited I got this one! I have used it already on several trips, a few weekend trips and even a 2 week long trip in Europe. You will be shocked at how much this pack will hold and still fit carry on specs for almost any airline. I love the detachable day-pack feature. The day-pack itself will fit a lot of belongings including your laptop and tablet. The pack itself includes many useful pouches and pockets and smart access points for storing gear. It is also super comfortable to wear with the load bearing straps. I highly recommend this item to anyone looking for an awesome travel backpack!

My "Back of the Napkin" design

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Having been an Osprey rep for 25 years has some perks: like having a close relationship with my dear friend, and owner / founder Mike Pfotenhauer.

So, I travel a lot. I go see my friends at Backcountry several times, and other travels too. I leave for 1-4 days usually, and found myself not wanting to drag a roller. I like duffels. And we have some great ones! But nothing like THIS!

I imagined what my perfect travel pack would look like, and drew it on the back of a napkin. Seriously. Then I scanned it, and sent it to Mike, and he emailed me and said he was already working on something similar! Great minds, I guess! That was 2 years ago. Now here it is, for your enjoyment.

The Duplex is unique. It allows me to have a work bag to carry my computer, workbooks, and all of my daily materials I need for appointments, while detaching and leaving the "duffel" portion at my Air BnB. The "pack" portion has great suspension which carries the weight of both units attached together, but when I use it for my computer and work, it carries really well. It's fully carry on compatible: you can easily keep your work pack under your seat and load the duffel in the overhead. The great part about the whole thing is that I have 1 unit to manage, not 2.

    Well done, Mike, well done!
