    Thoughtful construction for enduring comfort.

Osprey decked the Manta AG 36 Hydration Pack out with all the thoughtful features that grace the rest of its Manta series and gave the pack a large 36-liter size for epic day hikes and super-light overnighters. Stuff all your needs and wants into its capacious main compartment and plentiful pockets, and marvel at how comfy and light your load feels thanks to the Anti-Gravity suspension system and BioStretch harness. Tons of ventilation and padding reduce sticky sweat, and the included hydration system with a QuickConnect hose keeps your whistle wet, so you can keep on trucking from sunup to sundown.

    Perfect Size!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Love this pack. It is amazing how well it disperses the weight. You can carry heavier loads and not feel like your shoulders are going to fall off. I've got a 3-year-old, so naturally, we have to take everything on the trail. This pack works great, has good organization and is comfortable. Osprey makes great packs and this is my go-to for day hiking or National Park excursions. I've even used it for hammock camping overnight, not too much room but if you pack it right you would be surprised at how much it can hold.

Bought it to use as a Camera Bag

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've packed this bag full of camera gear and worn it all day on hikes and absolutely am astounded at how comfortable it is. Storage is outstanding and there are many pockets to hold all your gear. I love the separate zippered area for the hydration reservoir. It is easy to remove, refill, and replace. The side pockets have great access points so you can easily reach a water bottle while wearing the pack. The AG system is super comfy and works to keep the load off. Personally I would love it if Osprey made this bag out of outdry or another waterproof material...then I'd give it five more stars. Well done Osprey, well done.

This was a great purchase. Works as a great day pack or even a weekend bag. I just took it out of town for a 6 day trip and fit everything I need in it. So roomy it seems like a Mary Poppins bag! It has a lot of space, pockets and you can make good use of it all.

I definitely looked at many bags before settling on this one. But it was the AG that sold me on this bag. So happy I got this one.

    Loving It

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I just got back from a weekend of hiking in Zion and I totally loved using my Manta 36. After 3 straight days of 6+ hour hikes, I've found it to be very light and comfortable, while being packed with great features. I haven't run into any discomfort or chafing yet. And, at 6'5", the M/L fits perfectly.

Coming from day packs that keep with the "standard" backpack format of vertical storage, I'm enjoying having more zippers and compartments for organization. I see myself using this for many more hikes to come this summer.

I'll make sure to update this with more details as I get more experience using it.
