    Organization for their active lifestyle.

Show and tell, reading assignments, art class, and after-school sports are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to your kid's daily activities. The Osprey Kids' Koby Backpack efficiently organizes and comfortably carries all of their school, extra-curricular, and daily items in style. This everyday pack features a large main compartment that's great for holding textbooks, documents, or a change of clothes, should they be active in after-school sports. The front zip pocket carries smaller items for on-the-go convenience, and the front stretch pocket is great for stashing a rain shell when they walk to school or hike with you on the weekends.

    Poor quality mesh pockets

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Perfect sized backpack and very breezy back panel & shoulder strap. My kid really loved it...until the mesh pockets on the side and front started to wear. Before the year 1, the mesh were torn. I sent the pack back to the Osprey, they sew it back together by hand, was very poor quality to say the least. When I questioned, their reply said that's best they can do.
Year 2, the hand sewn pockets are ripped, and holes are widening rapidly.
For kids backpack Osprey should use more solid nylon material. We put water bottle, light cloth, and maybe headset in that mesh pockets, yet they rip!? I must say I was really disappointed to say the least and I have decided to buy backpack from Wallmart next time, at least I know I pay 1/3 of Osprey costs and I won't be so disappointed.

I am so sorry this happened to you with Osprey. The quality of the repair is usually very high. And if they couldn't do a better job, they should have sent you a new pack. Do me a favor: Please reach out to Ben Rabinowitz at Backcountry: I will ask him to give you my information, and if you would, please send me a picture. I would like to make this right.

Many thanks for letting me know -

    Great Packs

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought these as a gift for my 7 & 9 year old cousins visiting from Germany. They used them on our hikes in the Uinta Mountains and on their outings around town. I didn't realize that they came with a whistle. The kids found it and used it frequently so we knew where they were at all times. They fit them well and were able to hold all of the rocks and other treasures that they found.

    Headed to 1st grade

We bought this for my daughter to take to first grade this year. It is the prefect size for her folder, lunch, and water bottle. The smaller pocket holds the little things she wants to take to school securely along with a key clip for anything we definitely don;t want falling out. I love the stash pocket in the front for her jacket along with knowing it is built tougher than most kids packs on the market and is covered with Osprey's All Mighty Guarantee. She loves the whistle...

    Great for children

Let's face it, Osprey makes quality products. This backpack was purchased for a 6 year old to use during her Kindergarten time but also for day hiking trips or overnight trips to her Dad's house. While she's small for a 6 year old, this backpack fits her well. There is plenty room for adjusting the straps for the perfect fit. The 'laptop/tablet' pocket can easily convert to a small hydration reservoir holder. And the best part is that there is a place for the hose or headphones to come out the top for easy carrying.

Osprey does not put out a less than stellar product. This backpack is great and the colors are perfect for active kids!

    Great quality

We typically get my son a new backpack every school year, because he is so hard on them. This Osprey pack is built much better than a typical Jansport or Kohls superhero cheapy pack. This one is built to last and be more comfortable while in use too.
