    The Getaway Plan.

Sneak out of work, sprint to your mountain bike, and ride up to the canyons with all the essentials packed in Osprey's Escapist 18 Backpack. Its BioStretch harness adjusts the mesh-lined, padded shoulder straps and waist belt for a personalized fit, and the AirScape back panel ensures ventilation. There's an external hydration sleeve for your own reservoir and a removable rain cover inside the bottom compartment. You can also use the bottom compartment to separate dirty shoes from clean clothes, and there are stretchy pockets at the front and sides to stow water bottles and rain shells. The zippered front pocket is perfect for a tool kit, and the zippered top protects your sunglasses while the shoulder pocket stores your smartphone.

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

First order was lost in shipping. Called about it and the guy was super helpful! And he got another one in the mail and I got that order the very next day. Awesome service!
Pack is a Christmas gift for the my wife. And judging on the quality and overal structure, I believe she is going to love it!

    Best travel daypack

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I spent way more time than any reasonable person would comparing backpacks before deciding on this one. So far it is everything I want in a travel daypack, which may or may not be different than the use you were intending on purchasing it for.

That said, it's a versatile pack, so it will likely find it's way on my back the next time I go out for a bike ride or a day hike too.

Here's an extensive review I made via YouTube, and some more information on my blog:

    Awesome Pack

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great pack, already have the largest size escapist (32) and love it, but was a bit too big for shorter adventurers. The pack still has lots of pockets for organizing even in this smaller bag. 10/10 would buy again.

    Killer for Long Distance BikePacking!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had a ton of Osprey's Hiking packs and absolutely love their design, quality, & excellent customer service! So when I was looking for a great light weight pack to carry on my 250 mile "Thru-Ride" of the Arizona Trail, I figured I would give them a try yet again. WOW.... The Osprey Escapist 18 was no exception to the great features found on all of my other Ospey products.... Light Weight, Super Comfortable, Great Hydration System, & Tons Of Room for all my small pieces of gear!

Here's a Full In-depth Video Review I did on the Ospery Escapist 18... Enjoy!

    Ride On,

    Awesome pack for off-road adventures

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

After many years of stuffing water bottles in jersey pockets and being limited to carrying everything in three pockets and a saddle bag, I finally decided to try out a pack when heading off-road.

This little pack has tons of organization and space without being overly bulky. Side pockets are just the right size to hold water bottles if you don't have a hydration bladder, and the front compartment organization has mesh pockets to keep tubes, a hand pump, and any other tools in place and easy to find. The main compartment, while not being huge, has more than enough room for a spare jacket, gloves, snacks, and any other stuff you might need along for the ride (or hike). There's also a little compartment up top that is probably more meant for glasses, but works great for keeping small snacks and gel packets within easy reach.

    Awesome pack for off-road adventures

Is there an interior pocket for holding a laptop?

    Best Answer

Hey Matthew, no, no laptop sleeve. There is a sleeve for hydration that may double for that, but not intended for nor protected for a laptop. Let me know if you have additional questions!
