    Osprey is amazing

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Osprey delivered another one out of the park with this bag. My wife absolutely love it. She is around 5pm’ 3” and it fits her perfectly. We’ve used it on weekend camping trips into the mountains to multi day hikes throughout Utah. From the durability of the material to the adjustability and comfort she has no complaints. If your looking for a bag that has the best warranty in the business look no further.

I would suggest trying them on in a retail store before your purchase.

A little big but otherwise pretty sweet

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

A bit big for me but pretty nice! I like the pocket system, the back paneling, and the easy pole carry.
This is the first time I had used back paneling that was so breathable and open, I loved that my back wasn’t soaked when I took it off. The pole carry has one loop on the side of the pack and one on the left waist belt, so it’s really easy to put away and grab your poles without stopping or taking your pack off- awesome for long days and those of us who can’t decide if we like trekking poles or not.
The pocket system was also really great as it had quite a few outside pockets and two top pockets, along with the bottom sleeping bag area, so I found it easy to stay organized on the trail when normally everything is a mess within the first night.
The only big issue I had is that the waist belt on it’s very smallest setting in the XS still a bit big for me and rubbed on my hips causing some blisters I usually wear a size 25 or 4 pant so while I’m kind of small I don’t think I’m an exception so kind of a bummer for smaller built women.

Overall I really liked it, great size for a few nights and if I was able to dial the waist belt I think it would be a super comfortable pack!

    A great pack!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love this pack. I used it while guiding backpacking trips all summer, fall and winter in the Pacific Northwest, Joshua Tree, Adirondacks, and Southern Utah. It is extremely comfy and breathable thanks to the anti-gravity suspension and has the perfect amount of space for a 5-8 day backpacking expedition. I love having two pockets in the brain as well- makes it a lot easier to organize my gear and keep things accessible. The waist strap pockets are perfectly sized for packing snacks, cameras, etc so that you can snack and snap on the move. The red is also a GREAT color and helps me maintain my trail style (a very important quality...) Would 100% recommend this for anyone who is going to be spending some time on trail and wants a good quality backpack.

    So comfy!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've needed a new pack for a long time and havent really liked some of the gimicky stuff that's been coming out lately. This has a really nice waist and lower back system that just hugs you and sits in the right place even without locking it down. I find myself being able to hike longer and adjust my pack less. Make sure you get the appropriate size for you, initially it was too big for me and hit the back of my head.

    Great Multi Day Pack

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This what my wife had to say about the pack:
"We used this pack on at 5 day hike hike to Machu Pichu in Peru. At 32lbs the weight was centralized on the hips and didn't feel any pain the shoulders or back. The different compartments made it easier to organize gear without emptying our the whole pack. Very easy to fit the backpack and didn't feel like a huge turtle shell on my back"

    ALMOST perfect backpack

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Well all the stuff that matters most is perfect in this pack. The fit is easily adjustable, so it conformed to me exactly as I wanted. And the suspension system makes it feel super light! Only complaint is the small pockets that sit over my hips for easy access: it is NOT easy access! The pockets are set further back on my hips, so I have to reach slightly backward to access my chapstick or phone, and the zippers are very stiff, making it quite a challenge to open and close without stopping and futzing for what felt like several minutes! I'm hoping this becomes easier as I break the pack in.

    All Day Comfort

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I didn't expect the backpack part of backpacking to be something that was worth mentioning, but this one was great! (The views and silence of Moab were amazing too.) I'd been going back and forth on which backpack I wanted and finally landed on the Osprey Aura. I figured too big is better than too small and went for it. It was surprisingly comfortable and easily fit everything I wanted to bring with some space to spare. There are pockets in all the right places and the side pockets are designed so that you can access them without tying your arms in a knot while till wearing the pack, which I really appreciated.

    Love it!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is my first pack for overnight backpacking trips, and it has been so nice for getting into backpacking. Its not the lightest option out there, but I knew I didn't want that for my first experiences. With the little extra weight comes a supportive and durable frame. It is comfortable, highly adjustable, and the number of pockets make it really easy to stay organized.

    She loves it!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I gave this as a gift to one of my friends as a birthday gift so we can go backpacking together! I knew she had her eye on this one for quite some time! So excited to go backpacking!

    Another great pack from Osprey.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I have a lot of Osprey packs. They are comfortable and have lots of features that are very useful. My bigger 70 liter Xena pack has a removable day pack, which is really handy. But, that's not always needed, so this is a great option.

The lid fits a ton of stuff, which really gives this pack a lot of space and organization. But, the lid also comes off this, if you are doing a smaller trip and don't need all that weight. Otherwise, this is perfect for 3-5 nights, or even more if you are good at keeping things minimal.

The straps are highly adjustable, to make for a comfortable trek. I have yet to find anything more comfortable than Osprey, when it comes to the support system.

    Another great pack from Osprey.

Does exactly what you need, well!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Osprey Aura is the best carrying pack my girlfriend has had in 12 years of backpacking. It makes a 40 pound load feel like half the weight! The frame sizing options and adjust-ability create a perfect fit with stable loads (no side to side pack sway). She enjoys all the compression options. They allow her to shape the load to her wishes. So far, she's used this for treadmill hill training with 30 pound weights and a few 2-3 night trips. We are excited to take it for a real mountain adventure around five nights. The quality and features you expect from Osprey.

    Two thumbs up

I got these packs for my daughters for our backpacking trip to south east Asia. We are going to be visiting 4 countries in 2 weeks and need something that can store enough of our luggage but be portable and on the go with us. They’ve never backpacked but the packs allow them to carry the weight without feeling it.
