Great for All Body Types

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
True to size
Size Bought
5` 11"
135 lbs

I just finished my first backpacking trip with the new pack, and I'm pretty happy with it. I'm female, nearly 6' but relatively slender, so it's hard for me to find a pack that works with my body. This one does a good job. Great parts of this bag: - Highly adjustable - Comfy AG and overall high quality production - I love the big side pockets on the belt, they're so good for stashing little things on the trail. - Also has great stretchy mesh exterior pocket for stuffing rain covers, etc. on the move. Some cons: - If you're tall, packing the upper detachable section can interfere with your head movement. - I wish it had just a few more loops for clipping stuff on the outside, since it's a relatively small bag for multi-day backpacking. But this issue would probably be fixed by just sizing up to a 60 or 65L pack!

a solid pack

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I used it for the first time on a 5 day trip through the Bigelows in Maine. It held up great. Most of the load is focused on the hips, so it made the longer heavier days more manageable. A great pack for a few nights out, and shorter exertions as well. It can do it all.

Love Osprey packs

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought this as a gift based on my experience with Osprey packs (I've had a few for MTB riding). Osprey makes really nice gear and has awesome customer service.

My favorite backpacking pack EVER

I've put it through the wringer

I've had this pack for 3 years now and I'm obsessed. It is incredibly comfortable and has everything I want in a pack, without too many extras. I love that I can remove the brain so if I just want to do an overnighter, I can do lose some of the weight. The anti-gravity suspension system keeps the weight feeling light and disperses it well. The pack sits nicely on my hips and doesn't hurt my back at all. When it comes to a pack liter size, I prefer to go with a smaller size, hence the 50L instead of the 65. I almost always backpack with a family member or close friend so I typically split weight like tent or cook system. However, If I do need to carry everything, I am able to fit it all nicely. Having a smaller pack forces me to cut down on what I want to bring and just bring the necessities. Really saves me from overpacking which is huge when you're carrying everything on your back. If I had a larger pack, I would fill it with unnecessary gear. I'm 5'3 with a short torso so the xs fits me great!

Great review! Thank you! Leta Osprey Rep

I really appreciated your addition of your height and the size you bought. I'm similar and will be giving the XS a try because of this review. Thank you

This pack is wonderful for beginner or seasoned hikers. Most the weight is focused on the hips making it easier to carry a full load.

First real backpack

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Loaded this pack down with 30-40 lbs and it fit so well, the weight was no problem! Love the cool mesh harness system, although haven't worn it in summer yet. I would prefer more outside pockets, but that's not a show stopper. 50 L is a good starter size. I am a heavy set woman, and the adjustable belt made all the difference in comfort, never felt like it was digging into my waist. Carried the Osprey 3L bladder and it works like a charm. Can't wait to use it again!

Great overnight/multiday backpack

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Used this pack on a overnight 15 mile hike and the anti gravity frame was amazing. I highly recommend this pack for first time backpackers because of the anti gravity frame for weight distribution. For a overnight hike or 3-4 day hike this pack is perfect.

Flexes and moves with your body. My favorite pack I've ever owned. If you are thinking about getting a new pack, this is the one. The anti-gravity meshing is amazing.
