Ariel AG 75L Backpack

Choose the Osprey Women's Ariel AG 75 Backpack when you're embarking on week-long trips deep into the wilderness and hauling gear-intensive loads to your alpine objective. This personalized pack mule offers roughly 75 liters of cavernous storage (depending on pack size), allowing you to carry everything you need on remote missions. Anti-Gravity suspension elevates the pack off your back, promoting airy ventilation and a body-wrapping fit without pressure points. This suspension is supplemented with padded air mesh straps for plush load stabilization without soaking in perspiration on warmer days.

The Ariel AG 75 is a classic top-loading pack, easily stuffing with clothes, outerwear, camp food, and gear. There's a zippered sleeping bag compartment for easy access, as well as removable straps for cinching a sleeping pad to the bottom. For shorter hikes at your destination, the removable top lid conveniently doubles as a small day pack. It externally carries a hydration reservoir for easier refilling on the trail. Trekking and ice tool attachments come in handy for alpine treks and technical ascents.

My favorite gear!

I've put it through the wringer

This pack has done everything for me from carrying my 30lb puppy, way too much food on backpacking trips, and even my wedding dress and bouquet on our elopement hike. Regardless of weight it sits on you so comfortably. The zip off mini pack on the top has been a game changer for me! We hike in, set up camp in treeline, unzip the small pack to turn it into a day pack and take off to summit a mountain. It’s such a simple yet genius idea that works so well! Side note: this pack is also durable enough to withstand when you leave it in the car with food in it and a 4 month old hungry puppy!

Day pack!

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I haven't used my pack yet, but I'm so excited about the detachable day pack. The last thing I want to do is pack an extra bag for daytime excursions, so this is the perfect solution. The pack seems to fit well but I'll add more review information after it logs a few miles with weight.

Great Pack

I've put it through the wringer

I purchased this pack 9 months ago in preperartion for my section hike of the JMT. This was my first time carrying 12 days worth of food and supplies so I wasn't really sure what to expect. This pack handled like a champ. I found it very comfortable even with nearly 50 lbs of gear inside. The only drawback that I personally had with it was access to side pocket where my water bottle was. I had to take it on and off or have some one get my bottle for me. Other than that I had 0 issues and will highly recommend.

Thank you for that great review, Tara! Leta Osprey Rep

Love this pack!

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I got this pack a couple of weeks ago and have taken it on an overnight trip and a 3-night trip. I was able to take a bear canister, sleeping bag & pad, chair, clothing, cooking gear and even a bag of wine with no trouble. I really love the day pack that the top converts into. I usually take a small hydration pack with me and it was nice to just have it built in this time. The fit is perfect (measured my torso at home before ordering) and plenty adjustable. I also love the sleeping bag pocket at the bottom that was easy to get to without taking everything out. The front panel was stretchy and perfect for sticking my Chacos into for water crossings. All in all, I'm super happy I chose this pack.

Great picture, Doreen! And thank you for the review! I especially like the part about the wine... you camp like me! Enjoy! Leta Osprey Rep

Trail Hauler

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I tend to over pack a bit on the backpacking, and this bag accommodates that predilection extremely well. I love the full day pack option and the option to go without the pack head. The strap suspension is super comfy.

Happy Camper

I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

My girlfriend took this pack on a two week camping trip and completely nerded out over it! The day pack was a little smaller than what she was used to for a day pack but is so much bigger than most "summit packs" that transform from larger backpacks. And more stylish. She took it with her during smaller trips everyday, it fit everything she needed nicely while keeping it organized, and got a lot of compliments on it. The full pack itself is so large and has amazing features. There are ample spots to strap gear to on the outside, and the cross straps for compression make it feel light and sleek when fully packed. She normally has to strap down packs pretty tight to keep to not swing around too much, but with this pack the rigid hip belt really helped and avoided soreness. The ability to take off the rigid belt is also nice for smaller trips when the pack is lighter. There are so many features to go on about! My girlfriend poured over the product guide/manual on the Osprey site for this pack, which has helped her put it to use to its full potential. And she has a lot of knowledge about it! No function is going to waste.

Day Pack in lid

This is the day pack that the lid turns into. I have my Goal Zero solar charger on the exterior, catching the rays.

Waist Belt issues

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I will start off saying I love Osprey. This was my 4th Osprey pack. But what happened to the waist belt?! I got the same size as for all my other ones (small) and I am 5'4" and 125 lbs. I messed with it for awhile and the waist belt doesn't appear to adjust?! It barely came around my sides, it kept going lopsided to one side. Never had this problem before. I took it out on a 17 mile hike with only 15-20 lbs and my entire hips are BRUISED and SWOLLEN. I may up the size on this one if not completely return it, but so far not impressed..

I've used it several times

This pack is perfect! The fit is spot on (got a medium with a 17.5 inch torso) and the air flow was so nice to have, in the desert. This size is nice because I can take it on longer or shorter trips. for shorter trips, I just take off the lid and the top closes up securely. For long trips, I leave the lid attached. I'm also really stoked for the daypack. The lid easily turns into a daypack that will hold your hydration reservoir. So, it's perfect for all adventures.

What a Beauty!

I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I am gearing up for a solid month of backpacking, therefore I was looking for a good pack that I will basically be living out of for the trip. This pack is amazingly light and super comfortable. It has a lot of space for everyday things and the color rocks(boothbay grey)!
