    Worked like a charm

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love that these fold up compactly and easily, but offer solid protection. This carried my gear through a backpacking trip in Peru with a layover in Mexico City. Despite being dragged through customs in multiple countries it still appears to be in new condition. No more worrying about straps or tears.

    Does its job well

Was hesitating to purchase it due to other reviews, decided to take a risk - glad I did. I took a flight to Salt Lake City from SFO past weekend for backcountry camping. Airporter (size S) did its job excellent, it didn't get damaged both ways, protected my investment into backpack. With Atmos 50 small, it leaves some space to through in hiking shoes, and couple bottles of water. Happy with purchase, and thank You backcountry for fast delivery.

    Extremely poor design

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The carry straps for the Osprey Airporter bag are located off-axis from where they should be, so there is no stable way to carry it when it's loaded with a pack. When you have a 45 pound pack inside, that adds up to a bad experience really quickly. After giving this bag an honest try, I switched to the Sea to Summit pack converter and found it to be vastly better designed. The Sea to Summit bag has carry straps where they should be to handle the weight of the pack, and it doubles as a rain cover, which the Airporter does not. I've done two international backpacking trips in the last year and the Osprey Airporter is the only gear purchase that I regretted. I do not work for Sea to Summit, but I love their products. I generally love Osprey products too, but this bag really needs to be redesigned.

I have an Osprey Aether 60, what size would you recommend?

I actually ended up purchasing a M Aether70, would the Medium Airporter still fit?
