    Better than most adult backpacks.

The Osprey Kids' Ace 38 Backpack makes your weekend backpack look like a potato sack. Its AirScape suspension system adjusts in length to accommodate your kid's ever-growing body, and it stabilizes the pack's gear, transfers weight close to the body, and ensures superior breathability for comfort. The Fit-on-the-Fly waist belt acommodates different hip sizes so every child in your family can use it.

The Ace sports a traditional top loading design. Osprey added straps for a sleeping pad as well as a separate compartment for a sleeping bag. There's an integrated rain cover for wet-weather protection. Stow-on-the-Go attachments take care of trekking poles when they aren't needed, and there's an attachment for Osprey's Daylite Pack. InsideOut compression straps secure the camping gear for easier hiking.

Two thumbs up for this one! I recently upgraded my son to the Ace 38 from his old 18L Osprey pack. This pack has all the features of a full sized Osprey pack and is very well made. The torso length is adjustable with plenty of room for the kido to grow (mine is 8 y/o and adjustment is toward the bottom of the pack range). Seems to carry and distribute weight well according to my son, and I get to shed a few more pounds out of my pack.

Top features include: A zipper top lid (great for quick access to power up snacks), sleeping bag compartment, exterior water bottles sleeves, and an internal hydration pouch.

My son asked if could write his own review, and this is what he had to say:
"I love it! Its so comfortable! On long hikes it fixes everything! You should definitely buy it! If you need comfort buy it! " (He obviously likes exclamation points as much as this pack)

Music to my ears! The Ace series is fantastic and fit my son well. We were long overdue for a backpacking trip, and the Ace made it easy. In this picture, he has on the Ace 38. But know that even if you go up in volume to the Ace 50 or 75, it has the same fit. Great adjust ability for this growing kid.

Now that he is older, I am moving him into the larger volume Ace packs so he can carry all his own stuff!
