Stay in the backcountry all day.
Call in sick and spend your day off work riding in the backcountry with everything you need stashed in the Ortovox Tour Rider 30 Backpack. This versatile pack can carry skis, snowboards, splitboards, ice axes, ski poles, and helmets externally to leave plenty of room for layers, snacks, skins, goggles, gloves, and more internally. Front and rear access points grant access to gear, even with skis attached to the pack.
The Tour Rider also features a separate compartment designed specifically for avalanche safety gear like a probe and shovel, and the helmet net stows away during the descent. Zippered pockets at the top and hip hold smaller accessories like goggles, energy gels, sunscreen, or a topo map. Ortovox made the Tour Rider compatible with hydration reservoirs by adding a dedicated reservoir sleeve and tube port.

- Q & A
Innovative, lightweight, comfortable!
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This is my second Ortovox pack. The first one I got in Courmayeur/Chamonix. It's a very popular brand in the Alps so I decided to get a slightly larger pack. My first one was the Cross Rider 22.
This pack is sublime. It's super light and compact when not loaded up, not many packs get really flat when empty or nearly empty. It's great to have this flexibility with a slightly larger pack. How many packs when you pick them up these days weigh a ton?
The stow away straps are super cool and very innovative. Sooooo many packs look so complicated and annoying with all the straps everywhere flailing about. If my snowboard is not attached, it's super clean, and same with the stowaway Ice Axe attach points. Superb. I use my packs for cycling and traveling and in the city.
The back panel is really comfortable and just hugs you since it is very flexible. The separate pads are almost like a massage feature. The back panel access is nice too when board is attached, but it has both access front and back.
I love the product design, and colors - it's beautiful. Most other brand packs are just boring. The colors and way they have the fonts, Ortovox is fly. These little features set it apart.
European intuitive design and thoughtfulness, what can you say.
