    Your smartly-designed, high-activity baselayer.

Ortovox designed the Men's Merino Competition Top with varying fabric thicknesses specific to where they are located on the body. The result is a long-sleeve baselayer capable of keeping every part of you comfortable whether you're sweating your way to the top or standing up there in the wind waiting for your buddy to catch up. • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I really like Merino Wool, but its a problem when it gets damp because it tends to stretch out. This product is the first merino baselayer that I've use that doesn't become baggy and cumbersome when I sweat. I really like to wear this for ski touring because it works decently well as a single layer piece. It's quite warm on its own, but it's a vital piece for winter layering. I'm long and lean (6'3" 170lbs) and the medium is comfortable and form fitting.

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Not as itchy as icebreaker's merino's, less stiff than norrona's baselayer. Great baselayer. Think I'll get another one.

Sizing chart is accurate. Chest is about 39.8" - 40.2", and I got the Medium which fits about right (though on the tight side)
